The ecotourism, resort, and entertainment project in Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve, if implemented, will open up many favorable opportunities for investors, as it has undergone necessary and practical changes compared to the project approved in 2021.

Many changes are beneficial in attracting investment.
The project is being implemented under the leadership of the Department of Crop Production, Plant Protection, and Forestry. According to the unit, after the Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve Ecotourism Project was approved in 2021, the General Department of Forestry issued a document guiding the development of an ecotourism, resort, and recreational project within the special-use forest. However, this project is not yet consistent with the sustainable forest management plan under the Government Decree and the Forestry Law. This has limited the development of many tourism activities. Therefore, the unit has proposed adjusting some contents of the project to better suit the current situation, from the project name to each aspect of assessing the current situation, developing and orienting products, markets, and linkages.
Since then, the project has been adjusted in some aspects, based on the old plan, and has been focused on implementation and is now basically complete.
In addition to leveraging existing records and data on natural conditions, socio-economic factors, the current state of natural resources, tourism resources, analyzing and evaluating the current state of tourism development, conducting SWOT analysis, and outlining tourism development orientations for the province in general and the Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve in particular, this project will strictly adhere to the regulations of the Forestry Law, Government Decrees, and guidelines from the General Department of Forestry.
The project also clearly outlines the overall objectives and specific stages, including defining tourism products in different zones and areas to be developed, implementing solutions to achieve the target number of visitors, and orienting routes and locations for eco-tourism, resort, and entertainment activities by 2030. It proposes 15 projects, including the selection of priority investment projects. The total budget for the project has also increased, from 370 billion VND to 526 billion VND...

Hau Giang recognized this unique advantage and has made efforts to take necessary steps to attract investors. Recently, several large investors have come to explore the area and are conducting research to determine investment directions, aiming to transform it into a destination that attracts not only domestic tourists.
Among the more than 10 specific solutions proposed in the plan, the most notable is the solution focusing on community development and the preservation and promotion of indigenous cultural values to develop tourism types and products. Accordingly, ecotourism and adventure tourism are the main focus, and the proposal proposes building specific product sets for each activity, including: itineraries, explanatory content, and guided tours; detailed programs for tourist routes and activities within each trip, such as organizing physical games, group games, and activities to enhance creativity and camaraderie among tourists; selecting characteristic local products for display; restoring and exploiting local culinary culture; organizing annual festivals and events; and projects for planting medicinal plants under the forest canopy...
Along with that is the planning of tourism products and accompanying services for each area within the larger space of the conservation area. These are suggestions worth considering when investors research and decide on the type of tourism to invest in the most suitable sub-areas, in order to both exploit and develop while preserving the unique natural beauty of the place.
