Electricity saving reached more than 43% of the yearly plan

(HGO) - Hau Giang Electricity Company said that the province is supplied with electricity from the national power system through the 220kV Can Tho 2 transformer station, the 220kV Chau Thanh 2 transformer station, the 220kV Rach Gia 2 transformer station, and the 220kV Ca Mau 2 transformer station. The 110kV power grid in the province has 6 transformer stations with a total capacity of 440MVA. The average load level of the 110kV power grid is 61%.

The electricity industry ensures safe and continuous electricity supply to customers.

As of May 31 , 2025 , Pmax reached 188.78 MW. Since the beginning of the year, the company has ensured stable and safe electricity supply for socio-economic development, meeting people's daily needs as well as ensuring electricity supply for cultural, political and social events in the province.

Regarding electricity saving , in the first 5 months of the year, the whole province saved 10.62 million kWh of electricity, reaching 2.42% of the actual commercial electricity output, reaching 43.51% compared to the plan assigned for the whole year 2025 (the plan assigned 24.4 million kWh). Specifically, administrative agencies and public lighting saved 1.97 million kWh; service businesses saved 0.40 million kWh; household lighting saved 4.16 million kWh and industrial production saved 4.09 million kWh.
