Electricity savings reached over 43% of the annual target.

(HGO) - Hau Giang Power Company stated that the province receives its main electricity supply from the national power grid through the 220kV Can Tho 2 substation, 220kV Chau Thanh 2 substation, 220kV Rach Gia 2 substation, and 220kV Ca Mau 2 substation. The 110kV power grid in the province has 6 substations with a total capacity of 440MVA. The average load capacity of the 110kV power grid is 61%.

The electricity sector ensures a safe and continuous supply of electricity to customers.

As of May 31, 2025 , the maximum power output (Pmax) reached 188.78 MW. Since the beginning of the year, the company has ensured a stable and safe electricity supply for socio-economic development, meeting the daily needs of the people as well as ensuring electricity supply for cultural, political , and social events in the province.

Regarding electricity saving efforts , in the first five months of the year, the entire province achieved a cumulative electricity saving of 10.62 million kWh, reaching 2.42% of the actual commercial electricity output and 43.51% of the target set for the whole year 2025 (the target was 24.4 million kWh). Specifically, administrative and public service agencies and public lighting saved 1.97 million kWh; business services saved 0.40 million kWh; household lighting saved 4.16 million kWh; and industrial production saved 4.09 million kWh.
