Dear beloved readers!

From this issue onwards, Hau Giang Newspaper will officially cease publication, bidding farewell to its readers as directed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, in order to merge with the new administrative unit of Can Tho City according to Resolution No. 202/2025/QH 15 dated June 12, 2025, of the National Assembly on the rearrangement of provincial-level administrative units in 2025.

And so, the more than 21-year journey of formation and development of Hau Giang Newspaper comes to a temporary close. A mission has been accomplished, filled with mixed emotions.

From its first issue published on Friday, March 5, 2004, to its last issue, No. 4,296, published on Monday, June 30, 2025, Hau Giang Newspaper has always been the voice of the Party Committee, the government, and the people of the province. From the early days of the province's establishment, full of difficulties and hardships, being a low-lying area of ​​the country in many fields, to rising to become one of the top provinces in the Mekong Delta and the whole country in terms of economic growth, many cultural and social fields, national defense and security, and building the political system, Hau Giang Newspaper has shared the hardships and accompanied the development of the Party Committee, the people, and the military of the province. Hau Giang Newspaper has always played a pioneering role in bringing the Party's guidelines and resolutions, and the State's policies and laws into life, serving as a solid bridge between the people and the Party and government, and vice versa. This creates a strong sense of unity, leading Hau Giang from one success to another, promoting the province's rapid, sustainable, comprehensive, and inclusive development.

The achievements of Hau Giang Newspaper over the past 21 years are thanks to the close guidance of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, the close cooperation of departments, agencies, and localities, and especially the trust and loyalty of our esteemed readers. We deeply appreciate and are grateful for this companionship over the years. This is the driving force for the Hau Giang Newspaper team to overcome difficulties and strive to fulfill our assigned mission.

Today, June 30, 2025, Hau Giang Newspaper completed its mission and, along with Soc Trang Newspaper and Radio and Television Station, merged into Can Tho City, opening a new chapter with many promises of being "professional, humane, modern, approachable, and engaging."

We look forward to seeing you again on the new journey of Can Tho Newspaper and Radio & Television Station!
