Nghe An: Highlights of June 3rd

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee worked with the Provincial Party Organization Department on Party building and organization; agreed on the investment plan for phase 2 of the Pha Mut resettlement area in Nhon Mai commune; and a delegation of outstanding meritorious individuals from Nghe An province laid wreaths and paid respects at President Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum... These are some of the highlights of the day.

* On the afternoon of June 3rd, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a working session with the Provincial Party Organization Committee to review the results of implementing Party building and organizational tasks since the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, and to outline some key tasks for the coming period. Comrade Nguyen Khac Than - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation - chaired the meeting.

* Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, visited the high-tech agricultural model at ThaiBinh Seed Group in Hung Yen province. As part of the program, the delegation toured the high-tech agricultural model, the production chain, and the application of science and technology in the selection, breeding, and processing of plant varieties.

* After inspecting the disaster relief efforts and conducting on-site surveys of the planned resettlement infrastructure construction sites after the 2025 rainy season in Nhon Mai commune, Mr. Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - agreed on the investment plan for phase 2 of the Na Hy resettlement area to resettle all 36 households in Pha Mut village.

* On the morning of June 3rd, a delegation of exemplary war veterans from Nghe An province laid wreaths and paid respects at President Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs. The delegation consisted of 74 war veterans, including war invalids, sick soldiers, victims of chemical warfare, resistance fighters who were captured and imprisoned by the enemy, those who contributed to the revolution, and relatives of martyrs from Nghe An province.

* The People's Committee of Nghe An province held a meeting to hear and give opinions on the draft plan for urban renovation and beautification in Truong Vinh, Thanh Vinh, Vinh Loc, Vinh Hung, and Vinh Phu wards for the period 2026-2030. Comrade Hoang Phu Hien – Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee – chaired the meeting.

* The Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to hear and give opinions on the draft Plan for implementing Action Program No. 23 dated March 30, 2026, of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on implementing Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW dated January 7, 2026, of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture in the new era. Comrade Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting.

* Gold prices fell across the board to 157 million VND/ounce on the afternoon of June 3rd, with gold rings continuing their downward trend for the third consecutive day this week. World gold prices remain far below the 4,500 USD/ounce mark.
