- The entrance exam for 10th grade in the 2025-2026 school year is fast approaching, marking a significant milestone for tens of thousands of 9th-grade students in the province. With the active and coordinated efforts of the entire education sector and related forces, preparations for the exam have been thorough and comprehensive, ensuring a safe, serious, compliant, and effective examination.
According to a report from the Department of Education and Training, for the 2025-2026 high school entrance exam, the province has 11,088 registered candidates, accounting for 84.8% of the total number of 9th-grade students. The province has established 23 examination centers with 468 examination rooms, mobilizing over 1,100 officials and teachers to serve as invigilators, and over 300 support staff including security, medical personnel , police, electricity, and telecommunications personnel to ensure the exam is conducted with absolute safety. To prepare well for the exam, the education sector has issued comprehensive guidance documents, organized professional training for exam officials, updated the admissions software, inspected facilities, and developed plans for coordination with relevant agencies in each examination area.
Among the examination centers, Chu Van An High School for the Gifted stands out as the only specialized high school in the province. This year, the school is recruiting 12 specialized classes with a total quota of 420 students, but received 723 applications. Notably, the exam at the school lasted an extra day compared to other schools because candidates had to take additional specialized subjects and a foreign language speaking test. The school arranged 30 official examination rooms and 2 reserve rooms, and prepared all necessary listening and speaking equipment, computer systems, backup generators, surveillance cameras, and a team of supporting technicians. Mr. Mong Thanh Thuy, the school's principal, said: "The difference in the exam at the specialized high school is not only in the duration but also in the high level of technical preparation required, especially for the foreign language speaking test. The school has mobilized maximum human resources and equipment to ensure that each stage of the exam is conducted accurately and scientifically ."
At Cao Loc High School, one of the examination centers with the highest increase in the number of candidates in the entire province, preparations have been meticulously and systematically implemented. This year, the school has 691 candidates taking the exam (an increase of more than 60 candidates compared to last year), and the school has arranged 29 examination rooms. Ms. Nguyen Tuyet Chinh, the school's principal, said: "The number of candidates registering for the school has increased significantly compared to previous years, so the school is paying close attention to preparation. Every aspect, from facilities and security to logistics, has been thoroughly checked to ensure the exam runs smoothly, safely, and in accordance with regulations. In addition, the school has closely coordinated with the police, health, and electricity units to develop contingency plans for emergencies such as power outages, accidents, and extreme weather."
Not only at these two schools, but all 23 examination centers throughout the province have completed the review of conditions regarding examination rooms, facilities, equipment, electricity, water, telecommunications systems, and safety plans. Local organizations and associations have also actively participated in the "Exam Support Campaign," assisting students from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing free drinking water and study materials, and guiding candidates throughout the examination period. More than 1,400 officials, teachers, and staff serving as invigilators have received professional training, mastering regulations, handling unusual situations, and detecting cheating using high-tech equipment.
From the education sector's perspective, the organization of this year's exam was prepared early, thoroughly, and in depth. From the beginning of the school year, the Department of Education and Training issued a review plan for 9th-grade students, organized training courses for teachers, and directed a province-wide mock exam to classify students and adjust the review plan accordingly. Simultaneously, the enrollment software was improved and synchronized with the sector's data, allowing students and parents to register and access information transparently and conveniently. Mr. Hoang Quoc Tuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training, emphasized: The preparation for this year's exam was carried out with high determination and comprehensively, from guidance and direction to coordination and organization, all aimed at ensuring the best interests of students and maintaining exam discipline.
The exam will take place over three days (June 5-7). Thanks to the proactive efforts of the education sector and the close coordination of schools, authorities, and relevant forces, all conditions for the 2025-2026 high school entrance exam in the province have been meticulously prepared. These efforts not only aim to ensure a safe, serious, and compliant exam, but also demonstrate a sense of responsibility and commitment to the well-being of our beloved students. In this atmosphere of urgency and determination, with the belief that a successful exam is becoming increasingly evident, it represents a solid stepping stone for students on their upcoming academic journey.
