- The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year is approaching, marking an important milestone for tens of thousands of 9th grade students in the province. With the active and synchronous participation of the entireeducation sector and related forces, up to this point, preparations for the exam have been carefully and comprehensively deployed, ready to ensure the exam takes place safely, seriously, in accordance with regulations and effectively.
According to the report of the Department of Education and Training, in the 2025-2026 school year, the whole province has 11,088 candidates registered for the 10th grade entrance exam, accounting for 84.8% of the total number of 9th grade students. The whole province has established 23 exam sites with 468 exam rooms, mobilized more than 1,100 officers and teachers to perform exam supervision duties and over 300 service staff, security, medical , police, electricity, telecommunications to coordinate to ensure the exam takes place absolutely safely. To prepare well for the exam, the education sector has issued full guidance documents, organized professional training for exam staff, updated admission software, inspected facilities and developed coordination plans with relevant agencies in each exam location.
Among the examination sites, Chu Van An High School for the Gifted is a site with its own unique characteristics, being the only specialized school in the province. This year, the school enrolls 12 specialized classes with a total target of 420 students, but there are up to 723 applications for the exam. Notably, the exam at the school lasts one day longer than at other schools because candidates have to take additional specialized subjects and a foreign language speaking test. The school has arranged 30 official examination rooms and 2 backup examination rooms, and has fully prepared listening and speaking equipment, computer systems, backup generators, surveillance cameras and a team of supporting technicians. Mr. Mong Thanh Thuy, Principal of the school, said: The difference in the exam at a specialized school is not only in the duration but also requires high technical preparation, especially for the foreign language speaking test. The school has mobilized maximum human resources and equipment to ensure that each stage of the exam takes place accurately and scientifically .
At Cao Loc High School, one of the exam sites with the largest increase in the number of candidates in the province, preparations have also been carried out carefully and systematically. This year, the school has 691 candidates taking the exam (an increase of more than 60 candidates compared to last year), and the school has arranged 29 exam rooms. Ms. Nguyen Tuyet Chinh, the school's principal, said: The number of candidates registering for the school has increased compared to previous years, so the school pays great attention to preparation work. Every step from facilities, security to logistics is carefully checked to ensure that the exam takes place smoothly, safely and in accordance with regulations. In addition, the school has closely coordinated with police, medical and electricity units to develop response plans for emergency situations such as power outages, accidents, and extreme weather.
Not only at these two schools, all 23 examination sites across the province have completed the review of examination room conditions, facilities, equipment, electricity, water, telecommunications systems and safety plans. Local organizations and unions have also actively participated in the "Supporting the Examination Season" activity, supporting students in difficult circumstances, arranging free drinking water and study materials and guiding candidates throughout the examination period. More than 1,400 officials, teachers and staff on exam duty have been trained in professional skills, mastered regulations, skills in handling unusual situations as well as skills in detecting cheating using high-tech equipment.
From the education sector, the organization of this year's exam was prepared early, thoroughly and in-depth. Right from the beginning of the school year, the Department of Education and Training issued a review plan for 9th grade students, organized training courses for teachers, and directed mock exams across the province to classify students and adjust the review plan accordingly. At the same time, the enrollment software was improved, synchronized with industry data, allowing students and parents to register and look up information transparently and conveniently. Mr. Hoang Quoc Tuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training emphasized: The preparation for this year's exam was carried out with high determination, comprehensively from direction, guidance to coordination of organization, all to ensure the best interests of students and maintain exam discipline.
The exam will take place over 3 days (June 5-7). From the initiative of the education sector to the close coordination of schools, authorities and related forces, all conditions for the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in the province have been carefully prepared.
