In Pho Nhon commune (Duc Pho town), many people trust and love Ms. Dang Thi Thuy Thanh (45 years old), a civil servant in the commune's judicial and civil registration department. This is thanks to Ms. Thanh's consistent sense of responsibility and diligence in her work.
Previously, the People's Committee of Pho Nhon commune processed applications for citizens according to prescribed procedures and timeframes. However, due to difficulties in transportation, citizens desired faster processing of their applications. Based on the practical needs of the people, Ms. Thanh initiated the "Wednesday No Appointment" and "Online Public Service Day" models at the application reception and results delivery department of the Pho Nhon commune People's Committee. The model was implemented from February 2024. The administrative procedures selected are those with high frequency of occurrence and directly related to citizens, organizations, and businesses. Specifically, these include: procedures for confirming marital status; procedures for re-registering birth certificates; marriage registration; death registration; extracting copies of civil registry documents; certifying copies of original documents; and certifying signatures. Authenticating transaction contracts... As a result, all documents and administrative procedures are processed ahead of schedule or on time, with no overdue documents, improving the administrative reform index and the satisfaction index with administrative services in the commune.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, residing in An Tay Dien village, Pho Nhon commune, shared: "When I come to the commune's one-stop service center to handle my affairs, I am very satisfied with the service provided by the civil servants here. For difficult cases requiring verification, or when the civil registry and judicial officials are busy attending training or meetings, Ms. Thanh will schedule an appointment to resolve the issue at the correct time. In particular, since implementing the 'No Appointment on Wednesdays' model, the commune has brought many conveniences to local residents. Therefore, on Wednesdays, the reception and results delivery department of Pho Nhon commune is usually much busier than usual. All administrative procedures are processed and results are delivered within a maximum of 30-40 minutes, so everyone is satisfied."
In recent years, Pho Nhon commune has seen the implementation of many projects, therefore, the work of disseminating information about land clearance is considered a crucial political task for the locality. Ms. Thanh said that at times, to ensure the project's progress, she and the members of the propaganda team had to carry out their duties after working hours, even on holidays. After these efforts, the people gradually understood and agreed with the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws, ensuring the timely completion of many projects.
Before assuming the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong commune (Binh Son district), Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dat (34 years old) had spent 10 years working as a youth union member. In every role, Mr. Dat always strived to contribute and serve the people.
In 2013, Mr. Dat graduated from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics . After graduation, he returned to his hometown to work, taking on the role of Secretary of the Youth Union branch in residential area 4, Chau O town. In 2016, Mr. Dat held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Chau O Town Youth Union, and in early 2017, he was elected to the position of Secretary of the Youth Union.
As a youth "leader," Mr. Dat has developed and implemented many practical activities and models to gather and connect union members and young people, and to contribute to community life through activities such as "Volunteer Saturday" and "Green Sunday"... In 2017-2018, the town's Youth Union, in collaboration with several local organizations and individuals, implemented the "Charity Clothing Closet" model to share the difficulties with the poor. From 2018 to the present, the town's Youth Union has implemented the "30,000 VND Coffee Cup" program to help many people in difficult circumstances and those suffering from serious illnesses.

In particular, in 2021, Mr. Dat initiated the "Delivery of Birth Certificates at Home" program, facilitating administrative procedures for citizens without requiring them to visit the People's Committee multiple times. From the implementation of this model until the end of 2023, the Standing Committee of the Chau O Town Youth Union delivered 60 documents to citizens' homes. Mr. Dat shared, "I used to work at the one-stop service center, receiving citizen documents, and I noticed that people had to travel to the agency many times to complete administrative procedures such as registering birth certificates and health insurance for their children. Based on that reality, I coordinated with the judicial department to carry out this task. This means that after obtaining the birth certificate and health insurance for the child, the Town Youth Union will receive and deliver them to the home, along with a congratulatory letter from the Chairman of the Town People's Committee. This is not only an act of care and convenience for the people but also contributes to attracting young people to participate in the Youth Union."
For his contributions to the Youth Union and youth movements, Mr. Dat has received numerous awards from various levels and sectors; among them, he was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in 2021. Not only is he energetic in his work and youth activities, but Mr. Dat also possesses high professional qualifications, having earned a master's degree and always striving to improve his knowledge. In early 2024, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dat was transferred to the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong commune, in charge of the cultural and social fields.
With his new responsibilities, although initially a little anxious, Mr. Dat quickly adapted to the job and strived to learn and improve his management skills. “I'm from another locality and came to work in Binh Duong commune, so for the past year, I've been going down to the grassroots level every week to understand and closely monitor the lives of the people. At the same time, I'm always ready to listen to the thoughts, aspirations, and feedback of the people so that I can make timely adjustments and solutions, aiming to better serve the people,” Mr. Dat shared.
Tra Tan (Tra Bong) is a mountainous commune with difficult economic conditions, and many households live in dilapidated houses. In response to this situation, Truong Van Lam (36 years old), Deputy Secretary of the Tra Tan Commune Youth Union, actively mobilized union members, young people, and philanthropists to support the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for 12 disadvantaged households; including building 2 new houses and repairing 10 kitchens. At the same time, they built 16 semi-septic toilets for the families, providing timely assistance to alleviate the difficulties faced by the people.
Mr. Ho Van Hung's family, residing in Truong Bien village, Tra Tan commune, is classified as a near-poor household. For many years, his family has been using an old, dilapidated kitchen with damp, moldy walls, and cooking utensils temporarily hung around the stove. Mr. Hung has a son serving in the military, he himself suffered a stroke, and his wife is frequently ill. In early 2024, Mr. Lam took the initiative to call on organizations, groups, and individuals to provide financial support for repairing Mr. Hung's kitchen, which is 4 square meters in size and has a corrugated iron roof. The total cost was nearly 7 million VND, funded through social contributions and labor from young people in the commune. Mr. Hung happily expressed his gratitude, saying that thanks to the dedicated care and assistance of the young people and benefactors, his family now has a clean and hygienic kitchen.

In Tra Bong district, there are many ponds, lakes, and streams, but local children lack the opportunity to learn to swim. Based on this reality, Mr. Lam advised the local Party committee and government to organize free swimming lessons for young people in the commune. Mr. Lam explained that because they lacked the resources to build a swimming pool, the commune's Youth Union utilized the Giang River as a swimming area. "I surveyed and selected a branch of the Giang River, an area with calm, shallow water and no rocks, and used ropes stretched from both sides of the river to create a safe area for teaching children to swim," he said. Over three years of implementation, the swimming lessons have attracted more than 800 children, with over 98% of them knowing how to swim by the end of the course.
When the locality implemented the new rural development program, Mr. Lam actively propagated and mobilized people to participate in the "National Unity for Building New Rural Areas and Civilized Urban Areas" campaign. Many families voluntarily donated thousands of square meters of land, moved fences, and dismantled their property to help the local authorities pave rural roads with concrete without demanding any compensation.
