The Van Khanh bridge project has a total cost of approximately 700 million VND, funded through social contributions from philanthropists and officials of the commune.

According to preliminary assessments from the construction unit and local authorities, the cause of the incident was due to the weak geological conditions and soft soil in the area, which caused the foundation to unexpectedly collapse during construction.

The incident caused no casualties and did not affect nearby households. Thanks to the construction unit proactively building a temporary bridge beforehand, traffic in the area remained smooth, without disrupting the lives of residents.

Currently, construction has been temporarily suspended to review the technical plan and implement foundation reinforcement measures to ensure quality. Due to the incident, the bridge completion plan will be postponed from before the Lunar New Year to after the Lunar New Year.
