On the morning of April 23, the Ho Chi Minh City Command organized various activities to care for social welfare and strengthen the bond between the military and the people in Thanh An island commune, in celebration of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026).

According to Colonel Nguyen Dinh Chuan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, the public relations activities celebrating National Day were organized in Thanh An island commune, considered a "frontline shield" protecting the sea route and the gateway to major ports of the city. These activities aim to strengthen the solidarity between the military and the people, and consolidate the people's trust in the Party and the State.
