SCB has a new Chairman of the Board of Directors

Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Dao Minh Tu presented the decision to requisition and appoint Mr. Phan Dinh Dien to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of SCB.

On September 22, in Ho Chi Minh City, the State Bank of Vietnam held a ceremony to announce the Decision on personnel joining the Board of Directors (BOD) of Saigon Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SCB).

According to the State Bank of Vietnam, after more than a year of being placed under special control, SCB has actively coordinated with relevant functional units of ministries, branches and agencies of Ho Chi Minh City to deploy solutions in accordance with legal regulations to ensure the safety of the banking system and protect the rights and interests of depositors.

Up to now, SCB's operations are gradually stabilizing, gradually handling difficulties and obstacles and focusing on building a restructuring project.

After reviewing and evaluating the capacity of the staff, the State Bank of Vietnam decided to requisition and appoint Mr. Phan Dinh Dien to resign from the position of member of the Agribank Board of Members and take on a new assignment as Chairman of the Board of Directors of SCB, replacing Mr. Vu Anh Duc from September 22.

At the same time, Mr. Vu Anh Duc was assigned by the State Bank to take on an important position at VietinBank .

As a person with extensive experience, working in the banking industry for nearly 30 years, Mr. Phan Dinh Dien has held positions from departmental leadership, branch leadership to member of the Agribank Board of Members.

During the above process, Mr. Phan Dinh Dien always had a firm ideological stance, good political qualities, good ethics, a sense of organization and discipline, a high sense of responsibility and always completed assigned tasks well, had management and operational capacity, especially had a lot of experience in debt settlement.
