The A3 Pro smartphone is expected to launch on April 12th in China. Although it's a budget model, this device is attracting attention from the tech community due to interesting leaked information regarding its features and design.
According to the well-known Chinese leak source Digital Chat Station, the A3 Pro is equipped with a Dimensity 7050 processor, 12 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of internal storage. It features a 6.7-inch screen with a slight curve towards the edges, a Full HD resolution, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The selfie camera is a punch-hole design located in the center of the screen, while the back houses a large circular camera module containing a 64 MP main sensor with a 1/2-inch size and f/1.7 aperture. The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh.
The Oppo A3 Pro features colors inspired by the Song Dynasty and is IP69 water-resistant.
The Oppo A3 Pro's GeekBench (performance benchmark) scores have also recently appeared, with a single-core score of 904 points and a multi-core score of 2,364 points. The Dimensity 7050, introduced by MediaTek in May 2023, is designed using a 6nm process.
While its specifications aren't outstanding in its segment, as several comparable products already offer similar hardware capabilities, the product's highlight is its water resistance. According to Oppo's General Manager in China, Liu Ba, the A3 Pro is the " world's first fully waterproof phone."
This also marks the first time a commercially available smartphone has achieved IP69 water and dust resistance. Furthermore, the device boasts impact and abrasion resistance, and according to Mr. Liu Ba, its durability "reaches flagship levels."
The expected price of this product is in the "1,000 yuan" segment, meaning it will fall anywhere between 1,000 and 2,000 yuan. Its predecessor, the A2 Pro, had a starting price of 1,799 yuan (approximately 6.2 million VND), so the A3 Pro is predicted to have a similar price. The phone comes in three colors: blue, pink, and light blue, which the manufacturer calls "three colors inspired by the Song Dynasty."
