The Department of Tourism conducts a survey of the Thinh Long Tourist Area in Hai Thinh commune.

In accordance with Plan No. 75/KH-UBND dated March 11, 2026, of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee on the development of coastal tourism in the period 2026-2030, and Plan No. 16/KH-SDL dated March 11, 2026, of the Department of Tourism on reviewing and evaluating the quality of coastal tourist destinations in Ninh Binh province, on the afternoon of March 18, 2026, the Department of Tourism organized a working group to assess the quality of Thinh Long coastal tourist area and survey the conditions for organizing the opening ceremony of the Ninh Binh coastal tourism season in 2026. The working group was led by Mr. Bui Van Manh - Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism, with the participation of representatives from the Provincial Tourism Association and relevant units.

During the working session, the delegation met with the Party Committee and People's Committee of Hai Thinh commune to exchange views, assess the current situation, and determine the development direction of coastal tourism in the locality. After hearing a summary report on the local tourism development over the past period, the delegates focused on discussing the potential and advantages of the Thinh Long coastal tourist area, while also pointing out limitations that need to be addressed to attract tourists, such as the lack of synchronized service infrastructure, monotonous tourism products, and a lack of attractive experiential activities.

As part of their work program, the delegation also conducted surveys at Thinh Long beach and several typical tourist attractions in the area, such as Linh Ung Pagoda and Thinh Long Parish Church.

However, to effectively exploit this potential, in the coming time, there needs to be synchronized investment in technical infrastructure, accommodation facilities, food and beverage services, and entertainment; emphasis on planning, preserving the landscape and protecting the environment; and simultaneously improving the quality of tourism human resources and strengthening promotion and marketing efforts.
