On February 6th, SofM (Le Quang Duy) officially played his first jungle match after more than three years away from the professional scene. This is a rare milestone in professional esports, which are often considered to have short careers. Considering his entire career, SofM has 14 years of experience playing League of Legends. He debuted in 2012, when the game first appeared in Vietnam.

According to statistics from LCP, it has been 1,267 days since SofM left the competitive scene. At that time, he terminated his contract with Weibo Gaming in China and returned to Vietnam. During his break, SofM held various positions within domestic organizations and associations. He was the owner of Vikings Gaming (now MVK), and served as a support analyst and head coach for the team.

In 2024, when the Vietnamese league was going through a dark period, with nearly half of the players under suspicion of match-fixing, SofM had to return to play Support in two matches. Before that, he had also led the national team to compete in the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Le Quang Duy's comeback match will take place in the LCP qualifying round, stage 1. He will face TSW, the Vietnamese team with the best performance in 2025.

In fact, SofM and MVK announced his return to the roster in early December. However, throughout the first two weeks of LCP 2026, he did not play, with Gury taking his place.

"Looking back on the important milestones of my life, I realize that League of Legends has always been an inseparable part of me. And today, when the organization and the team members need an experienced person by their side, SofM wants to live his passion to the fullest once again."

There were times when SofM doubted his own abilities, doubted the reasons why he wanted to return. But life only gives you a few 10-year periods, and especially having dear friends has given him the motivation," the player wrote on his official Facebook page.

Starting his professional career at the age of 14, the player born in 1998 is one of the most successful Vietnamese gamers in history. Besides domestic titles, SofM has also achieved success internationally, leaving a significant mark in the LPL (Chinese Super League). His highest achievement was finishing as runner-up at the 2020 World Championship.

SofM's MVKE is currently one of three Vietnamese representatives competing in the LCP, the Asia- Pacific Championship. The past year was an unsuccessful one for domestic teams. MVKE failed to win any significant titles and missed out on spots at both MSI and Worlds.

The addition of SofM to the roster is a major upgrade for the Vietnamese organization. Beyond his role as the tactical mastermind, his skills and ability to analyze matches remain at a high level.
