On the afternoon of November 16th, Son Tung M-TP caused a sensation when he posted a series of photos of himself jogging at Hoan Kiem Lake (Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi ). Just minutes after sharing, the post received tens of thousands of likes and comments from fans.

In the new series of photos, the singer of "Run Away Now" wears sportswear with a form-fitting top that shows off her toned physique, along with a sweat towel, sunglasses, and a hat, creating an overall dynamic and fashionable look.

Along with the photos, Son Tung wrote a humorous caption: "Many people are still wondering why I promised to go jogging around Ho Guom Lake but haven't seen it yet? Here it is. I wanted to keep this memory hidden, but you insisted on digging it up. Do you know how cold it was jogging alone around the lake that day?"

The witty storytelling delighted fans, especially after months of waiting to see the singer keep his promise to jog around the lake. This promise originated from a show in Hanoi at the end of September, when Son Tung invited fans to "go jogging around Ho Guom Lake." Although the photoshoot didn't coincide with the original date, the singer's posting of the photos today is seen as confirmation that he kept his promise to his fans.

Where Son Tung checks in has long become a "trendsetter" among his fans and young people. Before Hoan Kiem Lake, the male singer had invited fans to have coffee at Notre Dame Cathedral, stroll through Ben Thanh Market, visit the Saigon Zoo, or unexpectedly take a cyclo ride around West Lake and sit at a sidewalk tea stall at the end of 2024. Each time he appeared, that location immediately became a sought-after check-in spot.

Ho Guom Lake, where Son Tung chose to run, is the heart of Hanoi, an iconic destination associated with the Turtle Tower, Ngoc Son Temple, The Huc Bridge, and more.

Not only is it a familiar strolling spot for Hanoi residents, the lake is also an important tourist "gateway," attracting millions of domestic and international visitors. It has also been a stopover for many famous figures: US President Barack Obama once strolled around the area and enjoyed bun cha (Vietnamese noodle dish); billionaire Bill Gates, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau… have all chosen Ho Guom Lake and the Old Quarter as sightseeing destinations when visiting Vietnam.

Many international artists such as the band Westlife, Charlie Puth, and famous travel KOLs from Korea and Thailand have also filmed and shared photos of Ho Guom Lake on social media. Recently, G-Dragon's parents also took the opportunity to stroll around the lake during the singer's tour in Hanoi in early November.
