The Front brings happiness to the people.

Mr. Huynh Dam, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, affirmed: Looking back over the past nearly 40 years, although facing countless difficulties and challenges, our nation and country have at times had to overcome turbulent waves and headwinds. However, under the leadership of the Party in implementing the reform policy, the great national unity has been continuously strengthened and promoted. It is this great national unity that has created the great achievements of historical significance and is a source of great pride in nearly 40 years of reform. Thanks to the spirit of great national unity, our country has achieved its foundation, potential, and prestigious position on the international stage.
This practice once again profoundly proves the truth summarized by President Ho Chi Minh: "Unity, unity, great unity. Success, success, great success," and which our Party has identified as a tremendous resource and a decisive factor in the victory of our country's revolutionary cause. Compared to current requirements, demands, and aspirations, the Front must strive and improve even more, both in promoting the strength of national unity and in fulfilling its role, position, functions, and tasks. We are proud, but we must not "sugarcoat" it; instead, we must evaluate it objectively and seriously in order to strive and improve.
In the coming period, the Vietnam Fatherland Front must unleash the strength of national unity to realize the aspirations of the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and our nation to maintain independence, unity, and territorial integrity, for a prosperous people, a strong nation, and a just, democratic, and civilized society. In the immediate future, this involves successfully achieving the goals set forth by the 13th Party Congress. From there, we must further refine and concretize the institutional framework to enhance the role, position, functions, and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new era, especially its role in representing, supervising, and providing social critique. We must innovate the content and methods of our activities to make them more practical and diverse, so that the Front can bring happiness to the people.
The common home for all those who share the bloodline of "descendants of Lac and Hong".

Mr. Nguyen Tuc, Chairman of the Advisory Council on Culture and Society (Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front), stated: "With each Congress of the Fatherland Front, our patriotic spirit and tradition of solidarity are increasingly strengthened and promoted. The Fatherland Front is the common home of all those who carry the bloodline of 'descendants of Lac and Hong'."
Thanks to the Front, we have achieved the successes we have today. One of President Ho Chi Minh 's great initiatives was his proposal to establish the Vietnam National United Front, which united all strata of the people not only through movements, but more importantly, through organization. This inherited and developed the traditions of our nation. Our nation has a tradition of patriotism, and when united, we possess invincible strength. "Unity, unity, great unity. Success, success, great success." The 13th National Congress of the Party affirmed, "...looking back at 35 years of implementing the reform... Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position, and international prestige as it does today." That is a truth.
While discussing the potential, position, prestige, and achievements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, we cannot fail to mention its significant contributions. With unwavering confidence, our 10th National Congress will be a congress of national rejuvenation, striving to achieve President Ho Chi Minh's desired goal: "The entire Party and all the people unite and strive to build a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic, and prosperous Vietnam…". With the achievements of previous Congresses, the 10th National Congress will be a resounding success.
Discovering new forms and methods in the work of national unity.

Mr. Do Quang Hung, Chairman of the Advisory Council on Religion (Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front), affirmed: Among the great and comprehensive achievements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front over the past decades, recognized by the Party, State, and people, its pivotal role in mobilizing forces and achieving national unity is perhaps the most outstanding achievement. Along with this, the Front has also accumulated a great deal of historical experience in this work, sufficient to contribute to explaining the reasons for the success of our country's revolutionary cause, both in the past and present. At the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, regarding the issue of national unity, in addition to promoting the aforementioned achievements, attention must also be paid to the opportunities and challenges of this issue.
In the issue of ethnicity in Vietnam, as well as in many countries around the world , especially in the context of strong globalization, cosmopolitanism, nationalism, populism... with many intertwined tendencies, some positive, some negative.
This necessitates that the work of gathering and uniting the entire nation under the common roof of the Vietnam Fatherland Front must consider studying and applying international and domestic experiences to find new forms and methods in the work of national unity. There are issues we have done very well, such as solidarity and mutual assistance between the majority ethnic group (the Kinh people) and ethnic minorities during the national democratic revolution and the socialist revolution in the past. Now, however, there is a need for new understanding of the needs and aspirations of ethnic minorities and ethnic policies...
Furthermore, in the matter of national unity, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) always upholds the tradition of patriotism, nationalism, and social consensus, taking the goal of "a prosperous people, a strong nation, a just, democratic, and civilized society" as the common denominator in the national value system. Perhaps, in this work going forward, the VFF should also raise new issues in terms of ideology and thought... to further enhance the capacity and effectiveness of this work, such as doing a better job of mobilizing people of all ethnic groups and religions, and Vietnamese people abroad, in order to truly achieve a high level of social consensus.
Pay more attention to policies for ethnic minority and mountainous regions, the most disadvantaged areas.

Ms. Bui Thi Thanh, former Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Head of the Advisory Council on Ethnic Minorities, emphasized: "I hope and expect strong innovation from the Vietnam Fatherland Front in its work of social supervision and criticism, and in building a team of Front officials."
In the coming term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front must strengthen social criticism, as this is a crucial role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in fulfilling its representative function to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the people. Only then will the Front truly deserve to be the core force for the people to exercise their mastery.
Along with that, it is necessary to promote and expand democracy with more flexible and appropriate forms so that the opinions of the people can be listened to from many perspectives. To achieve this, the Fatherland Front needs to strengthen its supervision and ensure that the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State are truly implemented and bring practical benefits to the people.
In particular, more attention needs to be paid to policies for ethnic minority and mountainous regions, the most disadvantaged areas of the country. In the next term, to achieve strong innovation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front must have a force of Front workers who are truly qualified, dedicated, and responsible, who "listen to the people, speak in a way the people understand, and act in a way the people trust," who dare to speak and act, and who meet the requirements of Front work in the new period.
The success of the Congress will be a milestone in assessing the development and maturity of the Front.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Duong, Chairman of the Advisory Council on Democracy and Law (Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front), stated: "At this Congress, delegates will focus on analyzing and evaluating the situation of the past term and proposing directions, solutions, and tasks for the next term. I believe that after the Congress, the organization and activities of the Fatherland Front will undergo a stronger transformation and innovation compared to the previous term. This Congress has been meticulously and carefully prepared, under the guidance of many new viewpoints, ideas, and policies of the Party, such as the issue of building a rule of law state, promoting democracy, and continuing to build and develop a market economy…"
With these new ideas, the Resolution of the 10th National Congress will contain many new points. The success of the Congress will be a milestone in assessing the development and maturity of the Fatherland Front. I have high expectations for the achievements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in continuing to contribute to building and perfecting the socialist rule of law state, building a state apparatus that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people. In this, the role of the Fatherland Front is extremely important with its wide scope of activities and closeness to the people, so it can grasp the aspirations and thoughts of the people in building a clean and strong state apparatus.
This Congress will also summarize and review the work of social supervision and criticism after 10 years of implementation. I believe that this work will be qualitatively improved. This is a method of controlling state power to prevent subjectivism, voluntarism, group interests, and negative issues hidden in policies and laws… Social supervision and criticism will be strengthened and implemented more effectively and efficiently. The Advisory Council on Democracy and Law in the new term of the Fatherland Front will also take a stronger qualitative step forward, striving to become a brand of the Fatherland Front in social supervision and criticism.
Build strong community cohesion starting from the residential area.

Mr. Vu Trong Kim, former Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Former Youth Volunteers, affirmed: One of the important things in the upcoming term of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is that the great national unity bloc will continue to be expanded to all social strata, ethnic groups, religions, social components, and Vietnamese people living abroad, with the spirit of striving and sharing commonalities for the goal of "a prosperous people, a strong nation, fairness, democracy, and civilization," realizing the aspiration to build a prosperous and happy Vietnam. Although the world situation is volatile, we always carry in our hearts the spirit of patriotism, love for peace for the world, and peace for national construction.
That is the great aspiration of the entire nation. In that spirit, I hope that the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels will closely cooperate with exemplary individuals, intellectuals, village elders, and community leaders – those who are undertaking the task of revitalizing each "cell" of society, strongly promoting forms of gathering and activities at the grassroots level, creating solid community cohesion from residential areas, building a foundation of people's support, promoting socio-economic development, and maintaining political security and social order.
It is important to emphasize that the renewal of the content and methods of operation of the Front must spread to all regions, especially at the grassroots level, in villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front continues to connect with government agencies, coordinating closely to create new resources to care for the lives of people in difficult circumstances in mountainous areas, ethnic minorities in border and island regions of the country, narrowing the gap in living standards between people in remote areas and urban areas, so that people have firm faith in the leadership of the Party and the State.
The attention and coordination of actions by Party committees and authorities at all levels have been highly effective and positive. In the future, a more regular, closer, and more innovative coordination mechanism is needed to strengthen the political system and promote the work of the Fatherland Front in all residential areas nationwide, as well as among Vietnamese people living abroad. We hope that this Congress will be a historical turning point, a powerful transformation, enabling our nation to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world's leading powers.
Leveraging the resources of the Vietnamese community abroad for the cause of national construction and defense.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Binh, Chairman of the Association of Overseas Vietnamese, emphasized: "I am particularly concerned about the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front as the home of national unity for Vietnamese people at home and the overseas Vietnamese community. How can we strengthen and solidify the connection between our compatriots at home and abroad? Currently, the number of overseas Vietnamese is approximately 6 million, a very large scale with a very rapid increase, including not only those who settled previously but also those who went to study, work, and then stayed to work in other countries."
Besides the number, the quality of Vietnamese people abroad has changed significantly compared to the past, now including experts, scientists, and many who have entered the business world and become successful entrepreneurs.
I hope that, in the coming term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to pay attention to ensuring that the Vietnamese community abroad truly becomes an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation, and also a great resource contributing to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland. Currently, Vietnam has diplomatic relations with 193 countries worldwide, and has signed 16 regional and bilateral free trade agreements with partners around the world…
Our compatriots abroad benefit from these relationships, but they are also the contributors to them, acting as bridges. I sincerely hope that in the next term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will be able to leverage these resources from our compatriots. Along with that, the Vietnam Fatherland Front also needs to consider and address issues that the Vietnamese community abroad is still concerned about, such as citizenship; support and facilitate the return of overseas Vietnamese to their homeland to contribute to the country; and develop a roadmap to address the issue of voting and candidacy rights for overseas Vietnamese.
The Front will continue to develop to new heights as expected by the Party and the people.

Mr. Phan Xuan Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (Vietnam Union of Associations), affirmed: The Vietnam Fatherland Front is a political alliance, a voluntary union, a gathering of Vietnamese workers, farmers, and intellectuals, playing an extremely important role and position in the country's political system. The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front was meticulously and scientifically prepared, under the direct and regular guidance of the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
I believe that, building on the achievements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's 9th term and previous terms, the Front will continue to develop to new heights in the coming term, as expected by the Party and the people. The Vietnam Union of Associations represents Vietnamese scientific and technological intellectuals, and intellectuals are one of the three pillars of the alliance of workers, farmers, and intellectuals. The role of the Vietnam Union of Associations, as well as the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, is becoming increasingly strong and important, especially in the coming period when science and technology are developing at an unprecedented pace.
To fulfill the mission entrusted by the Party and the State, the Vietnam Union of Associations hopes that the Vietnam Fatherland Front, specifically the Presidium and the leadership of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, will continue to pay attention to and create more favorable conditions for the activities of the Union of Associations, and regularly encourage the intellectual community so that intellectuals who already trust will trust even more, become even more united, serve even better, and contribute to the country and the people.
I believe that these aspirations will certainly become a reality during the 2024-2029 term of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
