A peaceful space for enjoying coffee.

The unique charm of coffee shops in Lam Dong lies not only in their fragrant, rich-flavored pure coffee but also in their ambiance. Many are designed on hillsides, overlooking valleys of clouds, lakes, or vast coffee plantations. In the morning, visitors can sip coffee amidst the thin mist and watch the sunrise; in the afternoon, the golden sunset casts its glow over the hills, creating a sense of peace.

The combination of natural landscapes and creative design has transformed these cafes into indispensable stops on tourist tours. Each cafe has its own unique style: some are rustic amidst coffee gardens, others modern with open architecture, or artistically steeped in pine forests. Many spots are marked by unique miniature landscapes and photo opportunities such as stairways to heaven, Balinese gates, bird nests, flower forests, flower streams, swings, etc. Alongside these are small cafes with wooden houses and flower baskets, maintaining a simple, intimate, and familiar atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy coffee in various settings, sipping while admiring the scenery and enjoying a relaxing feeling.

Located right in the heart of the province, Xuan Huong Cafe sits on a hill overlooking Xuan Huong Lake, notable for its windmill. The open space is suitable for all ages, with pathways, landscaping, and a small fish pond. The view is beautiful through the glass windows, rain or shine. Flowers bloom along the grassy banks, and in spring, cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Visitors can enjoy coffee while admiring the beautiful lake at any time of day, in any season.

Doi Cu Coffee is a new destination, nestled amidst vast hills of flowers with scenic features such as hot air balloons, horse-drawn carriages, and flower-lined paths. Under the pine trees, you can take in the panoramic view of Xuan Huong Lake while enjoying coffee and street music .

The development of cafes with romantic settings is becoming a unique tourism product of Da Lat, creating a distinctive experience for visitors. Many tourists say they come to Lam Dong just to experience the coffee culture. Mr. Hoang Nam (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) shared: “The coffee here is very rich and fragrant, but what I like most is the feeling of sitting amidst nature, looking at the lake, mountains, and breathing in the cool, fresh air. Just one morning like today is enough to make the trip truly meaningful.”

Along with those captivating landscapes comes the allure of high-quality Lam Dong coffee beans. Thanks to the year-round cool climate, fertile basalt soil, and ideal altitude, the coffee here has a distinctive aroma, rich flavor, and sweet aftertaste. Many coffee shops even showcase the on-site roasting and grinding process, helping visitors better understand the journey from coffee beans on the hills to a fragrant cup of coffee in their hands. Visitors can tour coffee plantations, experience harvesting, learn about processing and roasting methods, and feel the dedication of the coffee growers through the product.

Tam Trinh Coffee Tourist Area is one such destination. A vast hillside covered in coffee plantations, with the Elephant Waterfall in the distance, its roaring sound echoing in the distance. Here, visitors can not only enjoy coffee but also learn about different coffee varieties, the roasting and grinding process, modern processing equipment, and view images of coffee-growing regions and historical documents about coffee cultivation around the world.

Ms. Minh Hoa (Dong Nai) shared that her trip didn't have a packed itinerary; it mainly consisted of visiting coffee tourist spots, enjoying the scenery, watching the coffee plants bloom and bear fruit, taking photos, and relaxing. Each cafe had its own unique beauty and a novel view, but all offered a sense of peace. After enjoying the coffee, she even bought some to take home as gifts.

Going to a coffee shop is not just about drinking coffee. The development of coffee shop models linked to tourism is contributing to creating a unique identity for Lam Dong tourism.

To maintain its appeal, in addition to ensuring the quality of the coffee, it's necessary to diversify the drinks offered using local agricultural products such as fruit juices, cocoa, and fresh milk. At the same time, the space must be designed harmoniously, reflecting local identity, using environmentally friendly materials, and ensuring construction safety; in particular, cafes on hillsides need solutions to prevent landslides during the rainy season…
