A structured, planned approach.
According to Tran Thai Tuyen, Acting Director of VNPT An Giang , in implementing the restructuring policy of VNPT Group, the merger of the former VNPT An Giang Business Center, VNPT Kien Giang, and the former VNPT Kien Giang Business Center into the new VNPT An Giang was carried out systematically, in accordance with regulations, and according to a unified roadmap starting from October 1, 2025. From the preparation phase, VNPT An Giang developed a comprehensive plan, detailing each task from organizational structure, personnel, finance, network infrastructure, information technology systems, and customer management and care systems.
The implementation process, including the handover of human resources, financial resources, and network infrastructure, was carried out fully and transparently, ensuring continuity and succession. Business operations, telecommunications and information technology services, and customer service remained stable and uninterrupted; employees were able to work with peace of mind. The new VNPT An Giang maintained good cooperative relationships with partners and customers, ensuring that all signed commitments were fully and consistently fulfilled throughout the merger process.
According to the Director of the Provincial Post Office , Ho Thanh Long, the postal services of An Giang and Kien Giang provinces are embarking on a path of organizational model innovation, restructuring, and consolidation in line with the general direction of the Vietnam Post Corporation. Many management, operational, and public service coordination solutions are being implemented synchronously, creating a foundation for the sustainable development of the provincial postal services in the next phase. In the second quarter of 2025, the two post offices will implement a model separating business and operational activities, clearly defining responsibilities between departments and centers to facilitate faster decision-making and reduce management pressure. This model enhances operational efficiency, increases management transparency, and lays the groundwork for the merger of the two provinces. Initial results show the model is effective, with stable service growth in An Giang and Kien Giang.
On August 15, 2025, the An Giang Provincial Post Office and the Kien Giang Provincial Post Office officially merged to form the An Giang Provincial Post Office. The production and business plans of each unit will remain unchanged until December 31, 2025, to ensure stable operations. The merger focuses on leveraging resources, technology, and personnel, expanding the network, and synchronizing services from traditional postal services to e-commerce, taking advantage of the strengths of each provincial post office.
Stable operation after reorganization
Mr. Tran Thai Tuyen shared: “After completing the organizational restructuring, VNPT An Giang quickly stabilized its operations with a model comprising 4 functional departments, the Infrastructure Center, the Solutions Business Center, the Customer Care Center, and 23 VNPT/regional telecommunications centers, responsible for network management, customer care, and sales in 102 communes, wards, and special zones. After the merger, employees were assigned jobs that matched their abilities and expertise, ensuring stable employment and income. Technical work, network operation, sales, and customer care were effective. The unit's production and business activities were continuous, stable, and constantly improving in quality.” Following the merger, VNPT and the localities continuously signed cooperation agreements on digital transformation for the period 2025-2030. This is positive evidence of VNPT's commitment to accompanying local authorities and promoting digital transformation in a people-oriented direction.
Following the merger, VNPT An Giang focused on implementing comprehensive management and operational solutions based on the unified model of the VNPT Group. Management, operational, and coordination processes between functional departments, centers, and VNPT/regional telecommunications centers were reviewed, standardized, and optimized to ensure smooth and efficient operation. VNPT An Giang promoted the application of digital platforms and modern management systems in operations, business, technical support, and customer care. The digital transformation was implemented comprehensively, from internal operations to customer service provision, contributing to improved labor productivity, service quality, and customer experience. This is a crucial foundation for the sustainable development of VNPT An Giang in the next phase.
Regarding the postal system, Mr. Ho Thanh Long stated: “After reorganization, the Provincial Post Office operates stably, and postal and e-commerce services are growing steadily, meeting customer needs. The combination of restructuring, separation of branches, and mergers has created a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the Provincial Post Office.”
