On the afternoon of March 24, the Traffic Safety Committee of Quang Tri province learned that the authorities are investigating and clarifying the cause of the traffic accident on the Cam Lo - La Son expressway.
Specifically, the accident occurred at about 15:10 p.m. on the same day, at Km35+935 of the Cam Lo - La Son highway section passing My Chanh bridge (Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province).
Initial information said that at the above time, a tractor with an unknown registration number was traveling from Quang Tri to Thua Thien Hue province when it suddenly collided with a truck carrying registration number 43C - 241.44 traveling in the opposite direction.
After the accident, the tractor-trailer rotated across the road, and the truck was knocked down, lying in the left lane of the route.
The accident injured one person; 1m of steel railings and connecting accessories (left of the route) of the expressway were damaged; 8 vehicles were seriously damaged. The accident also caused the Cam Lo - La Son expressway to be congested for many hours.
Upon receiving the news, the Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 4 (Traffic Police Department) coordinated with the authorities to quickly arrive at the scene, divert traffic and take the injured to the hospital. emergency.
According to an officer of the Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 4, at 18:XNUMX p.m. the same day, the authorities were still organizing rescues, so some large trucks could not pass through this area, leading to congestion on the route.
