African swine fever recurs in 3 localities

Authorities support the destruction of pigs infected with African swine fever.

The number of infected pigs is 116 pigs from 16 households, with a total weight of 3,779 kg. All infected pigs have been destroyed in accordance with disease prevention regulations.

Faced with the above situation, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has coordinated with localities to urgently implement measures to isolate and control the epidemic. Currently, the industry has supported medicine and lime powder for localities to disinfect the barns of households raising livestock with the epidemic.

At the same time, temporarily suspend the buying and selling of livestock in epidemic areas; establish temporary animal quarantine checkpoints in epidemic areas and communes at high risk of infection to prevent the disease from spreading.
