Many new students and their parents attending Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry came from the central and western provinces of Vietnam to Ho Chi Minh City as early as 3 a.m. to complete the enrollment procedures.
On the morning of August 25th, the campus of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry in Go Vap district was packed with people.
Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Head of Training Department, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, said that many of these people arrived at the school as early as three or four in the morning. These are new students, parents, and family members from the central and western provinces who traveled by bus to Ho Chi Minh City to enroll.
"Because they haven't rented accommodation yet, they come to school to wait until morning to complete the enrollment procedures before going to stay with relatives or find a place to live," Dr. Nhan said. In addition, according to Dr. Nhan, many new students also want to arrive early to register for dormitory accommodation at the school.
To ensure the safety of students and parents, the school opens its gates to allow them to rest.

Traveling from Dong Thap to Ho Chi Minh City this morning, Minh Anh, a new student majoring in Food Technology, said she arrived at the school at 8 am but there were already many parents and students waiting. By 11 am, the female student had still not completed the enrollment confirmation process.
By noon today, Mr. Nhan said that approximately 500 new students had completed the enrollment procedures. This process will continue until September 8th.

According to regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training , after receiving their admission results, candidates must confirm their enrollment online through the Ministry's system from August 24th to 5 PM on September 8th. They will then enroll at the university they have been admitted to, according to the school's schedule.
Therefore, starting yesterday, many universities have been welcoming candidates to complete the enrollment procedures. Typically, schools require candidates to submit personal documents and admission notices, temporary high school graduation certificates, first semester tuition fees, insurance fees, uniforms, and dormitory fees (if applicable).
According to Pham Thai Son, Director of the Admissions and Communications Center at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, nearly 1,700 students enrolled and paid their tuition fees within one day.
He said that parents and new students generally want to come to school early to complete the enrollment procedures and then prepare accommodation and living conditions in time for the new academic year.

This year, over 600,000 candidates applied for university admission. Those who are accepted in the first round will be considered not accepted if they do not confirm their enrollment within the specified time (except in cases where there is a valid reason approved by the university).
Candidates who were not admitted in the first round can register for supplementary admissions at some schools from now until December.
