Over the years, the exhibition booths at Thanh Nien Newspaper's Exam Season Counseling program have been considered the most direct and effective connection between universities, colleges, vocational schools, etc., and candidates.

Now in its 27th year, the Exam Season Counseling program, a collaboration between Thanh Nien Newspaper and the Ministry of Education and Training, was inaugurated at Dong Nai University on February 15th. It will subsequently continue in more than 10 provinces and cities nationwide.

At each location, there will be live-streamed counseling sessions on Thanh Nien Newspaper's platforms, in-person consultations at booths, and activities such as tours of lecture halls and laboratories, cultural exchanges, and professional practice sessions.

In particular, at most of the locations where the counseling program takes place, Thanh Nien Newspaper organizes exhibition booths where universities, colleges, vocational schools, training centers, study abroad centers, etc., promote enrollment and provide direct counseling to students.

To prepare for advising students at the booth, lecturers and admissions officers received thorough training to be able to answer all questions about professions, training programs, recruitment trends, how to choose a major that suits abilities and interests, and workforce needs, etc.

It can be said that the vibrant and engaging activities that can only be organized at the booths have been invested in by the universities to attract students, such as robot demonstrations, cocktail making, portrait drawing, 3D printing of gifts, cultural exchanges, games, gift giving and scholarships... This is also a great advantage if the university mobilizes its faculty and alumni to participate in advising and entertaining students.

Meeting and providing direct counseling to numerous students.

Over the years, exhibition booths have been considered the most direct and effective way to connect with students. Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Head of Training Department at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, believes that counseling at the booth is the most effective method.

"We had the opportunity to meet directly with students who wanted to apply to the school. After listening to their concerns and questions about majors, quotas, admission methods, etc., we provided advice and answers to ensure they had the most accurate information."

Students participate in bartending activities at a booth to learn about the hospitality industry.

According to Dr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, instead of students having to go to the school to meet admissions officers to find out more, at the fair, in a short period of time, they can visit the booths of the universities they are interested in, making it very convenient to get all the information they need.

Master Cao Quang Tu, Director of Admissions at Saigon International University, also believes that the booth at the Thanh Nien Newspaper's Exam Season Counseling Fair helps schools quickly reach thousands of students.

"Especially important is reaching the right target audience. Students who want to learn about a particular school will go to that school's counseling booth. This gives teachers the opportunity to be closer to the students, understand their thoughts and aspirations, and connect with them effectively," Master Tư said.

For many years in a row, universities have registered for 2-3-4 adjacent booths to have ample and impressive space for students to learn about their programs, such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Saigon International University,FPT University, Van Hien University, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Van Lang University, etc.
