Tang Duy Tan wins big at the "Green Wave 2023" awards ceremony.

The 26th "Green Wave Awards 2023" ceremony took place on the evening of January 24th at the Hoa Binh Theater (Ho Chi Minh City), featuring many explosive performances from top "hot hit" artists in the Vietnamese music market.

In the Top 10 Most Loved Songs category, despite winning twice with "Turn on the Love" and "Cut the Sorrow in Half," Tang Duy Tan - who just won the 2023 Mai Vang Award in the "Most Loved Song" category from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper - scored points by humbly yielding the speech to the songwriter and co-composer of "Turn on the Love," Hieu Bae, as well as the producer Drum7.

On stage accepting the "Male/Female Singer of the Year" award, Tang Duy Tan once again surprised everyone by becoming the winner. Rapper Den was mentioned again when Tang Duy Tan said he felt ashamed to be nominated alongside Den and win in this category.

Tang Duy Tan affirmed that the reason he was able to overcome a long and difficult period to survive in music was thanks to Den, because Den was the first person to praise his songwriting. Because of that, Tang Duy Tan always feels grateful to Den, and this is a good opportunity for him to express his gratitude.

While Tang Duy Tan swept up many important awards among male nominees, the female award went to none other than Van Mai Huong. The success of her album "Minh Tinh" brought the singer a resounding victory at the 26th awards ceremony.

Van Mai Huong also won 4 awards, including: "Top 10 Most Loved Songs", "Song of the Year" and "Outstanding Collaboration" (both thanks to the success of "June Rain") and "Female Singer of the Year".

Van Mai Huong was the female vocalist who "swept up" awards at the 2023 Green Wave Awards Ceremony.

With his active collaborations on numerous music projects, Grey D also won 4 awards, including 3 related to the song "June Rain," namely: "Top 10 Favorite Songs," "Song of the Year," and "Outstanding Collaboration." In addition, Grey D also won the "Favorite Song on Radio" award ("Take Me Home") with Chillies.

Similarly to Grey D, Trung Quân also won 3 trophies with the song "June Rain", including: "Top 10 Most Loved Songs", "Song of the Year" and "Outstanding Collaboration".

From the songwriter's perspective, Hua Kim Tuyen has consistently been a top hitmaker in recent years, so it's no surprise that he won three awards for his song "June Rain": Top 10 Most Loved Songs, Song of the Year, and Best Collaboration.

Hoa Minzy also won big with 3 awards.

Vietnamese diva My Linh received the Green Wave Achievement Award. She has made many significant contributions to Vietnamese music in general, and has been involved with the awards ceremony since its early days.

My Linh shared: "This is nothing short of a priceless spiritual gift to me. I would like to dedicate this award to composers Duong Thu, Huy Tuan, Anh Quan, and everyone who has contributed to making My Linh who she is today."

Also winning in the Top 10 Most Loved Songs category were: "À lôi" (Double2T, producer Masew), "Ngủ một mình" (HIEUTHUHAI ft Negav), "Lệ lưu ly" (Vũ Phụng Tiên, DT Tập Rap, producer Drum7), "Mưa tháng sáu" (composer Hứa Kim Tuyền, singer Văn Mai Hương ft Grey D, Trung Quân), "Nấu ăn cho em" (Đen ft Pia Linh) and "Thị Mầu" (composer Nguyễn Hoàng Phong, singer Hòa Minzy).

During the awards ceremony, rapper Đen made the audience laugh when he said, "I get bored after finishing a song, so why do listeners keep finding it good?"

Black was also a prominent name at the awards.

Rapper HIEUTHUHAI won the "Most Popular Male Singer" award. In his acceptance speech, HIEUTHUHAI revealed that he is a fan of rapper Den and thanked him for everything Den has done, as those things have motivated HIEUTHUHAI to stay steadfast on the path he has chosen.

HIEUTHUHAI also hopes that in the future, the rap music community will develop more strongly so that this genre will have its own category at the Green Wave Awards.

On the female side, after 10 years of relentless effort, Hoa Minzy's dedication was finally recognized with the "Most Loved Female Singer" award.
