Following his mini-concert in early June, singer Tang Phuc released three music videos, an EP, and two physical CD versions, concluding his SUN SONG series of activities. This is the male singer's largest-scale project in two years since participating in "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Thorns."
SUN SONG was prepared over approximately two years with the collaboration of musician Huynh Quoc Huy. The project includes a mini-concert of the same name, three music videos: SUN SONG (June 8th), How Many Times in Life Do We Have 10 Years (June 10th), and Someone Says Goodbye in Saigon (June 28th), an EP featuring five new songs, and two physical CD versions: The New Beginning and The Inner Voice .
Tang Phuc said that he and his team spent a lot of time perfecting the project in a synchronized manner, from music to visuals.
"Over the past two years, I've worked closely with musician Huynh Quoc Huy to meticulously prepare for this project, ensuring it comes to fruition as envisioned. Every activity, from the mini-concert and physical CD to the three music videos, is part of this project," the singer shared.

The mini-concert was among the Top 10 outstanding music events of the first week of June, attracting a large number of searches on online platforms after the performance. Two songs consecutively reached number one on the iTunes Vietnam chart upon release.
One of the highlights of the project is the music video " Saigon, Someone Said Goodbye," which was made entirely in animation. The male singer said the idea stemmed from his professional background before pursuing a singing career.
"My starting point is directing animated films. I've long wanted a suitable song to create an animated music video. When I received the demo from Huynh Quoc Huy about three years ago, I thought it was the perfect song to fulfill my dream. However, at that time, we both had other plans, so the project was put on hold until now," Tang Phuc said.
"Saigon, Someone Says Goodbye" is a sequel to the song "Saigon, Weak and Unsure Who to Rely On," released by Tang Phuc in 2019. The song is part of a plan to create a series of songs about Ho Chi Minh City.
"I wrote this story after seeing a man cry on a rainy afternoon at the beginning of the season while riding a bus. I wanted to release it right after finishing the demo, so I decided to hold off on the song until the right time," he shared.
"From the characters and setting to the colors, everything is designed to be consistent with the emotional flow of the song. I wanted to incorporate very familiar aspects of Ho Chi Minh City into the music video and personify the city as a companion to the main character in the story," he said.
Besides "Saigon Someone Said Goodbye ," the EP SUN SONG also includes four new songs: SUN SONG (Kai Đinh), " How Many Times Does Life Last 10 Years? " (Lâm Nguyên), "Stubbornness" (Châu Đăng Khoa), and "White Night Song " (Sixkie Dawgz). The song "Saigon Someone Said Goodbye" is also included in the physical CD set "The New Beginning - The Inner Voice," released alongside the project.
