Increase passenger train services on the North route.

Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company announced that Thong Nhat passenger trains were almost fully booked in the last days of March, especially on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route. Therefore, the railway company will operate an additional pair of Thong Nhat trains, SE11/SE12, from March 28 to May 14, 2024.

Railways continue to increase train services on the North-South route to meet the rising demand for passenger travel.

Specifically, train SE11 departs Hanoi station at 21:20 and arrives at Saigon station at 11:20. In the opposite direction, train SE12 departs Saigon station at 19:25 and arrives at Hanoi station at 9:20.

One-way ticket prices for seated passengers start from 958,000 VND/ticket, and for sleeper passengers from 1,170,000 VND/ticket and up, depending on the travel date and seat type.

Also on the North-South route, to meet passenger demand, the railway operates additional trains SE30/SE29 between Saigon and Quy Nhon and vice versa. Train SE30 departs Saigon station on March 29th at 17:50 and arrives at Quy Nhon station at 8:05. Train SE29 departs Quy Nhon station on March 31st at 13:05 and arrives at Saigon station at 3:40.

Ticket prices for the entire journey on this train: Seated tickets range from 405,000-425,000 VND/ticket, while sleeper tickets range from 612,000-948,000 VND/ticket, depending on the travel date and seat location in the carriage.

The railway still applies promotional programs such as discounts of up to 30% for long-term stays, round trips, group bookings, and for social policy beneficiaries, students, union members, and passengers with customer cards.

Previously, the railway announced a discount policy for tickets purchased well in advance of departure dates from now until April 24th and from May 2nd to May 16th, 2024. Accordingly, for Thong Nhat passenger trains SE3/4, SE7/8 (Saigon - Hanoi) with a travel distance of over 900km, SE21/22 (Saigon - Da Nang ) with a travel distance of over 600km and SNT1/2 (Saigon - Nha Trang) with a travel distance of over 300km, passengers who purchase tickets 5 days or more before departure will receive a discount of 5% to 30% of the ticket price (excluding 4-berth sleeper compartments on trains SE3 and SNT1/2).

For trains SPT1/SPT2, passengers who purchase tickets for the Saigon - Phan Thiet route 10 days or more before the departure date will receive a 10% discount on the ticket price (excluding 4-berth sleeper compartments).
