Increase passenger trains on the Northern route

Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said that the Thong Nhat passenger train in the last days of March was almost full, especially on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route. Therefore, the railway organized to run an additional pair of Thong Nhat trains SE11/SE12 from March 28 to May 14, 2024.

The railway continues to increase trains on the North-South route to serve the increasing travel demand.

Specifically, train SE11 departs from Hanoi station at 9:20 p.m. and arrives at Saigon station at 11:20 a.m. In the opposite direction, train SE12 departs from Saigon station at 7:25 p.m. and arrives at Hanoi station at 9:20 a.m.

One-way fare for seat type starts from 958,000 VND/ticket, sleeper type from 1,170,000 VND/ticket or more, depending on departure date and seat type.

Also on the North-South route, to meet passenger demand, the railway runs additional trains SE30/SE29 between Saigon and Quy Nhon and vice versa. Train SE30 departs Saigon station on March 29 at 5:50 p.m. and arrives at Quy Nhon station at 8:05 a.m. Train SE29 departs Quy Nhon station on March 31 at 1:05 p.m. and arrives at Saigon station at 3:40 a.m.

Ticket prices for this round trip train: Seat type from 405,000-425,000 VND/ticket, sleeper from 612,000-948,000 VND/ticket, depending on travel date and seat location in the carriage.

The railway still applies preferential programs such as long-distance discounts up to 30%, round-trip, group and for social policy beneficiaries, students, union members, passengers with customer cards.

Previously, the railway announced a policy of discounting tickets purchased far in advance from now until April 24 and from May 2 to May 16, 2024. Accordingly, for the Thong Nhat passenger trains SE3/4, SE7/8 (Saigon - Hanoi) when buying tickets with a travel distance of over 900km, SE21/22 train (Saigon - Da Nang ) with a travel distance of over 600km and SNT1/2 train (Saigon - Nha Trang) with a travel distance of over 300km, passengers who buy tickets 5 days or more before the travel date will receive a discount of 5% to 30% of the ticket price (except for the 4-berth sleeper cabin of trains SE3, SNT1/2).

For train SPT1/SPT2, passengers who buy tickets for the Saigon - Phan Thiet route and buy them 10 days or more before departure date will receive a 10% discount on ticket prices (except for 4-berth sleeper cabin).
