At the press conference announcing the project "The Last Empress ," Tang Thanh Ha received significant attention from the press and media. Notably, during the event, the actress clarified information related to her hometown.
She stated: "Regarding my hometown and birthplace, there's actually a lot of information suggesting I was born in the Mekong Delta, sometimes in Tien Giang, Dong Thap , Ben Tre, and then Go Cong. But I was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City, not in the Mekong Delta. So, today I would like to clarify this."

"First, I had to relearn the new filmmaking techniques. Besides that, I learned to play the piano, practicing every day. During the filming in Hue , the crew prepared a piano and placed it in my room for me to practice. I also had to hone many other skills," she shared.
Tang Thanh Ha said she felt a great deal of empathy for the character of Empress Nam Phuong in "The Last Empress ." "Empress Nam Phuong was a woman who experienced much heartbreak in her love life, but she always maintained her composure and dignity. Besides the responsibilities she carried, Nam Phuong was also a wife and mother, with emotions just like all of us. I deeply empathize with what the character went through," she added.
"When I took on this role, I was worried and felt pressured. But afterwards, I worked very hard and sincerely to understand the character's emotions in the most authentic and relatable way. The most difficult thing for me in this project was the scenes where emotions were suppressed and couldn't be expressed. Behind the calm exterior was a world of conflicting emotions. Throughout the long pre-production period, I talked a lot with the director to analyze the character, to find the reasons and motivations behind the words, dialogue, and inner thoughts of the character. Only when I touched that inner world could I convey the character's emotions," she further shared.
The final version of "The Queen" marks Tang Thanh Ha's return after 13 years. Her last film was "Beauty Trap" (2013).
Sharing his thoughts on inviting Tang Thanh Ha to participate in the project, director Bao Nhan said: "The first step in any project is finding actors. Working with Tang Thanh Ha or any other actor requires convincing them with a good script and a good production team. Every actor cares whether the project evokes emotions in them, whether they would regret missing out. The answer always lies in the quality of the project."
