A Vietnamese technology group has established an artificial intelligence (AI) research and development company with the goal of bringing Vietnamese AI to serve the Vietnamese people, with the highest level of reliability and data security.

On August 21st, CMC Technology Group announced the launch of CMC OpenAI (C-OpenAI) in Hanoi, aiming to apply AI in key areas: national legal virtual assistants, citizen virtual assistants, education , healthcare, finance and banking, manufacturing, and public administration.

Speaking at the event, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung shared: “There are global applications like ChatGPT, but there are also countless national applications. The combination of global and local approaches will help our world develop more sustainably. And this is an opportunity for developing countries like Vietnam.”

According to CMC Group, C-OpenAI's technology platform is built on more than 25 core technologies developed by CMC, including Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Modeling (LLM), speech processing, and Datalakehouse (a new open data management architecture).
