All got 10 points, only 1 subject got 9.25 points

This afternoon (June 29), the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the entrance exam scores for grade 10 public high schools for the 2024-2025 school year.

The valedictorian of the 10th grade public high school entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year in Hanoi is Nguyen Hoang Minh Quan, class 9A, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.

Accordingly, Nguyen Hoang Minh Quan has a total admission score of 48.50 points, Literature 9.25 points; Math 10.0 points; Foreign Language 10.0 points. In addition, Quan took two different specialized subjects and achieved scores of 8.25 and 7.2.

Before the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the exam scores, Quan was admitted to the IT major of the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences (University of Natural Sciences - VNU) and the High School for Gifted Students of the University of Education, and the English major of the High School for Gifted Students in Foreign Languages. In these wishes, the male student got high scores and received scholarships.

Mr. Cao Van Dung, Nguyen Hoang Minh Quan's homeroom teacher, said that Quan is a student passionate about Mathematics. Whenever he has free time in class, he sits and solves Math problems.

"I often call Quan to the board to solve exercises. He always does well and never misses any lesson. Quan is also a calm, gentle, quiet student. I was not surprised when Quan got 10 in English and 10 in Math, but I was surprised when my son in the Math class got 9.25 points in Literature. That's too great," commented teacher Dung.

Mr. Dung added that Nguyen Hoang Minh Quan also took the IT exam when he was in grade 8 and 9. Mr. Dung believes that his student will be one of the students who can go further in IT.
