Tree Planting Festival

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Rat in 1960, President Ho Chi Minh called on all sectors of the population to enthusiastically plant trees and forests, and he launched the first "Tree Planting Festival" movement nationwide.

Since then, every spring, the "Tree Planting Festival" has become a beautiful traditional cultural feature of our people. Following Uncle Ho's teachings, in recent years, along with the rest of the country, the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai province has launched the "Tree Planting Festival" movement in all educational institutions throughout the province, creating greener, cleaner, and more friendly school environments. Continuing to respond to the "Tree Planting Festival" to make the movement even more effective, on January 31, 2012, the Department of Education and Training, together with other departments and organizations under the Block IV headquarters, launched a tree planting campaign at the beginning of the Year of the Dragon. Simultaneously, the Department of Education and Training launched the "Tree Planting Festival" throughout the entire education sector of Lao Cai province.
