Information from Ninh Binh Club indicates that midfielder Nguyen Thai Son has undergone knee ligament reconstruction surgery in Ho Chi Minh City. The surgery was successful, and Thai Son's health is currently stable.
It is expected that from next week, Thai Son will return to Ninh Binh and begin the recovery process according to the club's professional treatment plan. Ninh Binh FC will provide the best possible conditions in terms of medical care , rehabilitation, and psychological support to help Thai Son regain his form as soon as possible.
According to the plan, Thai Son could resume training and competing at the end of 2026.
After winning the gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games and performing successfully at the U23 Asian Championship, Thai Son was transferred to Ninh Binh FC from Thanh Hoa FC. He suffered an injury in the match against Hanoi Police FC in round 12.
