Tottenham suffered a series of defeats.

This result narrowed the gap between Spurs and the relegation zone to just one point, raising fears of the prospect of being relegated from England's top flight for the first time since 1977.

The match got off to a difficult start for Tottenham as they were quickly put under pressure from Palace. Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario had to make a save to deny Adam Wharton's dangerous shot in the very first minute. The visitors even managed to put the ball into the Spurs net, but Ismaila Sarr's goal was disallowed for offside.

Nevertheless, Tottenham had a moment of brilliance when Archie Gray skillfully dribbled down the right wing before crossing the ball for Dominic Solanke to score the opening goal. However, the turning point of the match came at the end of the first half when center-back Micky van de Ven received a red card after fouling Sarr inside the penalty area. From the penalty spot, Sarr calmly converted to equalize for Crystal Palace.

Playing with a man advantage, the visitors quickly capitalized. Adam Wharton was the standout performer with two consecutive assists, setting up Jorgen Strand Larsen and Sarr to score, completing a comeback just before halftime.

In the second half, Tottenham tried to fight back despite being down to 10 men, but their chances lacked sharpness. Solanke's dangerous shot was also saved by goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Three consecutive defeats under manager Igor Tudor mean Spurs have yet to win a Premier League match in 2026. With preparations underway for their Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid, Tottenham face a season fraught with uncertainty as the threat of a relegation battle looms large.
