According to the Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, July 2026 marks the end of the dry season, and water levels on rivers in the province will begin to gradually rise and fluctuate according to high tides.
The highest tides in August and September are forecast to reach approximately Warning Level I to above Warning Level III, ranging from 0.02-0.10m, at the Cho Lach and My Thuan stations.
Meanwhile, the low tide level in July was lower than the same period in 2025 and the multi-year average, then gradually increased in August and September. The total water volume through the My Thuan station is forecast to be higher than the multi-year average for the same period.
Warning: From July to August, the province is likely to experience minor flooding due to the influence of mid-month tides. By September, flooding may become quite severe during the high tides at the beginning of the month (September 9-15) and at the end of the month (September 25-October 1). Low tides in July and August may hinder the movement of boats and ships on small canals and waterways.
