Nestled amidst the peaceful surroundings of Dai Binh village, the small house named Yen homestay, owned by the Pham Van Bang family, became an interesting stop on the cross-Vietnam journey of Camille, a tourist from France.

Without distance or barriers, visitors from afar immerse themselves in the daily life of the people of Quang Nam province. From warm, traditional meals to the lifestyle of the people in the midland region, it creates an unforgettable experience.

“This isn’t a big hotel, but the room was very comfortable and the Yen family at the homestay were incredibly hospitable. I had a wonderful evening with them – a memorable experience of Vietnam!”, Camille shared.

The meal, with lotus leaf soup, fried fish, pork wrapped in rice paper, and especially a glass of bon bon wine, gave him a feeling of "being at home." For him, the simplicity and warmth of this place were the most special things about the trip.

Not only Camille, but also Wim Kramer and his wife from the Netherlands had wonderful memories from their stay at Yen Homestay in April.

From their very first meal, the famous Quang noodles impressed the two visitors from afar. The bowl of noodles, with its rich broth and fresh green vegetables – including crunchy young banana blossoms and fragrant herbs – completely captivated their taste buds. They were also surprised to enjoy "bom" bananas – a local variety characteristic of this region, with a delicate aroma and a uniquely sweet taste.

The stay at Yen Homestay became even more special for Mr. and Mrs. Wim Kramer as it coincided with the Dai Binh village hosting the U35 Football Tournament - one of the local traditional sporting events.

Language and cultural differences no longer exist; only a genuine connection remains between people from two distant lands.

Mr. Pham Van Bang, owner of Yen Homestay, said that from the beginning of 2025 until now, his family has welcomed 6 groups of tourists from European countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, England, and France...

Most visitors to Yen feel a sense of peace, belonging, and warmth, as if they were returning to their own home. They not only experience the tranquil atmosphere but also feel the closeness and friendliness of the local people.

“In the future, Yen Homestay will continue to improve the quality of service, while expanding experiential activities associated with local culture such as: cooking traditional dishes, visiting fruit orchards, cultural exchange... In addition, the homestay is aiming to build a community tourism model in a green, clean, and sustainable direction,” Mr. Bang said.
