With a spirit of initiative and volunteerism for the community, the youth of Phu Lam commune have implemented many good models and meaningful projects, contributing to the local socio-economic development and the construction of new rural areas.

According to Phan Ngoc Truc Linh, Secretary of the Phu Lam Commune Youth Union, the Commune Youth Union has proactively organized and implemented activities and movements, creating conditions for union members and young people to participate in learning, training, striving, and growing. The highlight has been revolutionary action movements and programs accompanying young people. The Standing Committee of the Commune Youth Union directs its subordinate branches to disseminate the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, commemorate major national holidays, and focus on disease prevention and control...

The youth volunteer movement has been widely implemented, promoting the role of youth in digital transformation. The Phu Lam Commune Youth Union has established a team of 10 members, "Youth Volunteers in Digital Transformation, Supporting People in Implementing the Two-Tiered Local Government System," along with 12 digital community groups tasked with assisting the Commune's Public Administrative Service Center in guiding people to register for administrative procedures, VNeID registration, etc. Nguyen Ba Vi, a member of the Phu Hoa B Hamlet Youth Union, said: "Participating in activities to support people in using online public services is very meaningful because it helps many elderly people complete administrative procedures."

Promoting the pioneering and volunteer role of youth union members in participating in building new rural areas, in 2025, Phu Lam Commune Youth Union organized a "Green Sunday" with activities including environmental sanitation, addressing garbage hotspots, and collecting over 50kg of used pesticide bottles and packaging discarded on rural roads.

Implementing a model of exchanging plastic waste and nylon bags for gifts for the people, the commune's Youth Union collected over 200kg of plastic waste and nylon bags. The Youth Union organized tree planting, improved green and beautiful infrastructure projects, ensured security and order, created flower-lined roads and playgrounds for children, and cleared and repaired rural roads… Duong Binh Quyen, a member of the Long Thanh 2 hamlet Youth Union, shared: “I actively participate in activities to contribute to building a new rural area. At the same time, I promote the pioneering spirit of young people in participating in socio -economic development in the locality.”

Ms. Phan Ngoc Truc Linh stated that the Phu Lam Commune Youth Union Executive Committee also coordinated with relevant units to implement the "Supporting Students to School" program, donating 750 gifts to students from poor and near-poor households with difficult circumstances, totaling nearly 135 million VND; and donating 10 bicycles, totaling 16.5 million VND. At the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, the Commune Youth Union mobilized support for 20 health insurance cards for students with difficult circumstances… The Commune Youth Union coordinated with the Phu Tan branch of the Social Policy Bank to support 5 young people with loans totaling 450 million VND to implement economic development models in the locality.

According to Ms. Phan Ngoc Truc Linh, in 2025, the Youth Union of the commune will also implement a model of connecting, accompanying, and sharing with those less fortunate. Every month on the 14th and 15th of the lunar calendar, the Youth Union, in coordination with the Long Hoa Charity Organization, will donate 385 gift packages with a total cost of over 96 million VND to people with disabilities, orphans, elderly people living alone, and the poor and those in difficult circumstances in the area; and in coordination with the Doctors' Club of Phu Tan Medical Center and hospitals in the province, they will organize free medical examinations, treatment, and medication, and distribute gifts to more than 750 people in difficult circumstances, with a total amount of over 300 million VND.

Through these practical actions, the youth of Phu Lam have effectively worked with the local community to carry out political tasks, building a more civilized, prosperous, and sustainably developed locality.
