Utilizing cheap, clean fuel from agricultural and forestry waste products, the clean heat incinerator developed by Thai Nguyen Tota Cooperative is being used by many tea growers in Dai Tu district because it saves costs and protects the environment.

Ms. Le Thi Huynh, from Phu Cuong commune: After nearly a year of using the Tota kiln, my family has saved 4-5 million VND, reducing labor and working time while maintaining tea yield and quality. Thanks to its sealed combustion mechanism and two exhaust gas treatment cycles, the Tota kiln not only reduces smoke and dust but also produces biochar, which can be used as fertilizer.

This is a green economic model that connects many local women, developed by Ms. Pham Thi Nhung, Director of Thai Nguyen Tota Cooperative. Ms. Nhung shared: "With the encouragement and support of the Women's Union at all levels, the Cooperative's clean energy furnace production project won second prize in the 'National Women's Entrepreneurship Competition 2024'. We strive to expand the model to 30,000 clean energy furnaces by 2027 to supply people in the surrounding area. This will reduce production costs and spread the message of using renewable energy, contributing to the sustainable development of tea production."

The women's entrepreneurship movement in Dai Tu district is further highlighted by the story of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai, Director of the La Bang Tea Cooperative. As a pioneer in gathering households and establishing a cooperative specializing in tea production in the area, Ms. Hai has contributed to the development of the La Bang tea brand. This is the first unit in the district to produce tea according to VietGAP standards on an area of approximately 10 hectares.

To date, La Bang tea products have achieved OCOP 4-star certification and are available in many large supermarkets and clean food store chains nationwide. Ms. Hai enthusiastically stated: "The support of women's associations at all levels has given me the motivation to persevere and innovate, thereby producing safe, delicious tea products that meet consumer tastes."

Besides the success stories of Ms. Nhung and Ms. Hai, many women in Dai Tu district have risen in economic development, contributing to the local development and spreading the spirit of creative entrepreneurship to the community. This result is due to the proactive efforts of the Dai Tu District Women's Union. Through close coordination with the District People's Committee and relevant agencies, the Union has strongly implemented activities to raise awareness and support women from the idea generation stage to the realization of production and business projects.

Over the past five years, the Association has organized 300 communication sessions, attracting nearly 30,000 participants. Simultaneously, it has conducted 30 training courses to enhance entrepreneurial knowledge for 2,300 officials and members. The Association has supported 29 outstanding women's startup ideas in the area to participate in provincial and national competitions. Notably, the Association has directly advised and supported the establishment of 59 cooperative groups, 4 cooperatives, and 56 women-led collaborative models; and launched 11 safe agricultural product sales points. Furthermore, the Association has advised and assisted nearly 14,000 members in accessing preferential credit sources with a total capital of 636 billion VND.

The association also focuses on supporting production models that prioritize safety and organic farming, connecting agricultural product consumption with businesses inside and outside the province; and effectively supporting members in building brands, designs, traceability, and developing OCOP products…

Ms. Duong Thi Thanh Luyen, President of the Women's Union of Dai Tu District : Implementing the "Support for Women's Entrepreneurship Project 2018-2025," we are not stopping at economic support but are also gradually working towards the goal of changing mindsets, inspiring entrepreneurial spirit, and fostering innovation among our members. The project has become a catalyst for many women in Dai Tu to boldly break through, gradually build sustainable economic models, take control of their lives, and spread positive values in the community.

It can be affirmed that, after 5 years of implementation, the "Support for Women's Entrepreneurship Project giai đoạn 2018–2025" in Dai Tu district, with the Women's Union of Dai Tu district as the core, has shown clear effectiveness, creating a strong ripple effect and making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the locality.
