TTH.VN – On the evening of May 26, the Executive Board - The Organizing Committee of the Buddha's Birthday PL.5-DL.2567 in Thua Thien Hue held a ceremony to light up 2023 lotus flowers on the Perfume River at Nghinh Luong communal house.

Since the Great Vesak Festival in 2008, to the Buddha's birthday, on the Perfume River, the image of 7 shining lotus flowers appears to welcome the 7 pure steps of the Buddha at the time of his birth. This is also a symbol to signal the people and Buddhists of the Perfume River - Ngu Mountain to know that another season of Buddha's birthday has returned.

According to information from the Board of Directors - Organizing Committee, 7 lotus flowers this year will be decorated and lit at night on the Perfume River during Buddha's Birthday Week.

In addition, during the week of Buddha's Birthday PL.2567-DL.2023, many activities took place at Nghinh Luong Dinh, Lieu Quan, Quoc Tu Dieu De, Tu Dam's family... with main programs such as: Buddhist cultural exhibition, vegetarian food buffet, flower car parade, Moc education ceremony, Buddha procession...
