In his congratulatory speech, Mr. Nguyen Muoi, Chairman of the Vietnam - Czech Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that Vietnam and Czechoslovakia - now the Czech Republic, have had a good traditional friendship, tested by time and historical changes; built and developed on the basis of trust, respect, and willingness to help each other, and cultivated by generations of leaders and people of the two countries over the past 75 years.
The Vietnamese people always remember the valuable support and assistance, both material and spiritual, of the former Czechoslovakia and the present Czech Republic in the struggle for national liberation as well as in the process of defending and building the Fatherland. The Czech Republic is the country that has trained many Vietnamese intellectuals in many fields. Many of them have held important positions in state agencies and the government .

The year 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the upgrade to Strategic Partnership, opening a new chapter in bilateral relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic. Vietnam has become the Czech Republic's largest trading partner in ASEAN. Investment cooperation between the two countries faces new prospects when the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) is ratified and implemented in the coming time, especially in areas where the Czech Republic has strengths and Vietnam has high demand such as renewable energy, supporting industries, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, etc.
The community of nearly 100,000 Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic creates the glue that binds the two nations, is deeply integrated into the host society and has been recognized as the 14th ethnic minority of the Czech Republic. This is a valuable asset, contributing to the development of the traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.
