Mr. Duong donated blood 13 times

Teacher Le Dai Duong was honored as one of 100 outstanding voluntary blood donors in 2025 by the Red Cross Society of Hai Duong province (old) in June 2025.

Nhớ lại lần đầu tham gia hiến máu vào năm 2011, khi còn là sinh viên năm thứ nhất của Trường đại học Sư phạm - Đại học Đà Nẵng , thầy giáo Lê Đại Dương cho biết: "Lúc đó tôi chỉ đơn giản nghĩ rằng mình có đủ điều kiện sức khỏe, nên tham gia. Sau lần đầu hiến máu, được gặp gỡ nhiều tình nguyện viên, tôi nhận ra việc hiến máu không chỉ là nghĩa cử cao đẹp, mà còn mang lại cơ hội sống cho những người bệnh đang cần máu gấp".

From that simple thought, teacher Le Dai Duong became an active and enthusiastic propagandist of the voluntary blood donation movement in the school and locality. Teacher Duong told himself that he must maintain good health to ensure his teaching work and maintain regular blood donation. Every year, he participates in donating blood 1-2 times, up to now he has donated blood a total of 13 times. Not only does he donate blood regularly, teacher Duong also participates in emergency blood donations when medical facilities request, and is also an active propagandist to spread and mobilize more people to respond to this noble gesture.

Currently, Tu Ky 2 High School has 16 volunteers actively responding and participating in blood donation. The school always exceeds the assigned target of voluntary blood donation. Every time they donate blood together, the school's staff, teachers and employees become more attached, diligently "cultivating" seeds of kindness and spreading positive actions on the path of volunteering.

Teacher Dao Thi Giang Ngan, a teacher at Tu Ky 2 High School, said: "I have known about voluntary blood donation for a long time but was still hesitant and not ready to participate. After teacher Le Dai Duong encouraged and explained, I understood that donating blood is both a way to check my health and help many patients in need of blood, so I decided to participate. Up to now, I have donated blood 5 times."

In June 2025, teacher Le Dai Duong was honored as one of the 100 outstanding voluntary blood donors in 2025 organized by the Red Cross Society of Hai Duong province (old). “I donated blood because I wanted to help the sick, not thinking about the day I would be honored. This is the motivation and responsibility for me to continue my journey of humanitarian blood donation,” teacher Le Dai Duong expressed.

In addition to being active in voluntary blood donation, Mr. Duong always spends time doing charity work and regularly shares the meaning of charity activities with students and parents, thereby contributing to spreading good deeds in the community. With his enthusiasm and dynamism, he was elected as the President of the Red Cross Society of Tu Ky 2 High School. In addition to focusing on building and developing the movement of the Society in the school, the Red Cross Society of Tu Ky 2 High School also actively responds to activities launched by the Red Cross Society at all levels, and at the same time builds a number of good and creative models, contributing positively to charity and humanitarian work.

With a sense of responsibility and love for students, when seeing students in difficult circumstances, teacher Le Dai Duong tries to mobilize the school to the community, connecting many sources of support to help them continue their dream of studying. A typical example is the program "Charity Tet" organized by the school's Red Cross Society every year to help students in difficult circumstances. Each year, the Society gives 20-30 gifts to poor students who overcome difficulties, each worth 300-500 thousand VND. Or the movements "Warm clothes for children", "Raising economical plastic pigs" with the purpose of donating and giving clothes and necessities to people and children in the highlands. For teacher Le Dai Duong, long volunteer trips in remote areas give him the opportunity to experience and help more people.

With the above achievements, for many consecutive years, teacher Le Dai Duong has been awarded certificates of merit and certificates of merit at all levels for his work in propaganda, mobilization, and humanitarian blood donation. Not only outstanding for his volunteer spirit, teacher Duong is also an excellent teacher with many topics and scientific initiatives applied to teaching with high efficiency. Teacher Nguyen Tuan Viet, Principal of Tu Ky 2 High School, affirmed that from the example of teacher Le Dai Duong, he will continue to spread the fire of love to generations of students for humanitarian work in general, and voluntary blood donation activities in particular, to have more hearts for the community.
