Teacher Le Dai Duong was honored as one of the 100 outstanding voluntary blood donors of 2025 by the Red Cross Society of Hai Duong province (formerly) in June 2025.
Recalling his first blood donation experience in 2011, when he was a first-year student at the University of Education - Da Nang University, teacher Le Dai Duong said: "At that time, I simply thought that I was healthy enough to participate. After my first blood donation and meeting many volunteers, I realized that blood donation is not only a noble act, but also gives a chance of life to patients who urgently need blood."
From that simple thought, teacher Le Dai Duong became an active and enthusiastic advocate for the voluntary blood donation movement in his school and local community. Mr. Duong told himself that he must maintain good health to ensure both his teaching duties and his regular blood donation. Each year, he participates in blood donation 1-2 times, totaling 13 donations to date. Not only does he donate regularly, but Mr. Duong also participates in emergency blood donations when requested by medical facilities, and is an active advocate spreading the word and encouraging more people to participate in this noble act.
Currently, Tu Ky 2 High School has 16 active volunteers who participate in blood donation. The school consistently exceeds its assigned target for voluntary blood donation. Through these blood donation drives, the school's staff, teachers, and employees become even more closely bonded, diligently cultivating seeds of compassion and spreading positive actions on the path of charity.
Ms. Dao Thi Giang Ngan, a teacher at Tu Ky 2 High School, said: "I've known about voluntary blood donation for a long time, but I was hesitant and not ready to participate. After Mr. Le Dai Duong encouraged and explained it to me, I understood that donating blood is both a way to check my own health and to help many patients who need blood, so I decided to participate. To date, I have donated blood 5 times."

Teacher Le Dai Duong has participated in voluntary blood donation 13 times.
In June 2025, teacher Le Dai Duong was honored as one of the 100 outstanding voluntary blood donors of 2025 by the Red Cross Society of Hai Duong province (formerly). “I donate blood because I want to help sick people, I didn't think about being honored. This is the motivation and responsibility for me to continue my humanitarian blood donation journey,” teacher Le Dai Duong expressed.
Besides being active in voluntary blood donation, Mr. Duong always dedicates time to charitable work and regularly shares the meaning of charitable activities with students and their parents, thereby contributing to spreading good deeds in the community. With his enthusiasm and energy, he was trusted and elected as the Chairman of the Red Cross Society of Tu Ky 2 High School. In addition to focusing on building and developing the Red Cross movement within the school, the Red Cross Society of Tu Ky 2 High School also actively participates in activities launched by Red Cross societies at all levels, and has developed several innovative and effective models, making positive contributions to charity and humanitarian work.
With a sense of responsibility and compassion for his students, when he sees students in difficult circumstances, teacher Le Dai Duong finds ways to mobilize support within the school and the community, connecting various sources of assistance to help them continue pursuing their dreams of education. A prime example is the "Tet of Compassion" program organized annually by the school's Red Cross Society to help students in need. Each year, the Society awards 20-30 gift packages to underprivileged students, each worth 300-500 thousand VND. Other initiatives include "Warm Clothes for Children" and "Saving Money in Plastic Piggy Banks," aimed at collecting and donating clothes and essential goods to people and children in mountainous areas. For teacher Le Dai Duong, these long-term charitable trips to remote areas provide him with opportunities to experience and help more people.
With these achievements, for many years in a row, teacher Le Dai Duong has received commendations and certificates of merit from various levels for his work in promoting and encouraging blood donation. Not only is he outstanding for his philanthropic spirit, but Mr. Duong is also an excellent teacher with many scientific research topics and initiatives applied to teaching that have achieved high effectiveness. Mr. Nguyen Tuan Viet, Principal of Tu Ky 2 High School, affirmed that the example of teacher Le Dai Duong will continue to inspire love and compassion in future generations of students, so that humanitarian work in general, and voluntary blood donation in particular, will have more compassionate hearts for the community.
