In the movement to emulate the five teachings of President Ho Chi Minh in studying and training, Nguyen Trong Viet Tu, a student in class 5A4 at Dong Da Primary School (Vinh Yen), is a shining example. Throughout primary school, he showed a special passion for subjects like Mathematics, Vietnamese Language, History, and English.
During my fourth year of school, I consistently achieved many proud accomplishments, including first prize in the History Olympiad and third prize in the "I Love Vietnamese" competition at the school level; a silver medal at the provincial level and a gold medal at the national level in the TIMO Math competition; a national gold medal in the HKIMO Math competition; second prize at the city level in the Vietnamese Language Champion competition; a national honorable mention in the Violympic Math - Vietnamese competition; and a national silver medal in the Violympic Math - English competition.
Entering the 5th grade, Viet Tu continued to excel with many new achievements such as a national gold medal and an international silver medal at the TIMO Math competition; a national gold medal in the HKIMO Math competition; and a national bronze medal in the Violympic English competition... As the class deputy for academics, Viet Tu always set a good example and actively participated in various movements, especially the "Two Friends Helping Each Other Progress" movement, contributing to making class 5A4 the leading class in the entire school.
She also regularly participates in extracurricular activities for the environment and community, such as picking up trash, planting trees, saving resources, recycling waste, and charitable activities aimed at helping the poor and those affected by natural disasters. Not only that, Viet Tu also has artistic talent and a passion for information technology. She won second prize in a painting competition, third prize in a computer science competition, and second prize in the "Beauty of Ao Dai" competition organized by the school.
Ms. Ha Thi Thuy An, homeroom teacher of class 5A4 at Dong Da Primary School, said: “With his excellent academic record and eagerness to learn, Viet Tu is not only a source of pride for his family and school, but also a typical representative of the young generation of Ho Chi Minh .”
Tran Gia Bao, a 5th-grade student in class 5D at Dong Ich Primary School (Lap Thach district), is a beautiful flower in Uncle Ho's garden. From his early days at school, Gia Bao has shown remarkable intelligence and a commendable spirit of self-learning. Throughout his five years of primary school, Gia Bao has continuously shone on his journey to conquer knowledge, achieving an impressive record of accomplishments.
Most notably, in the 2024-2025 school year, he won second prize in the district-level Vietnamese Language Champion Contest, second prize in the district-level IOE Contest, third prize in the provincial-level Vietnamese Language Champion Contest, a consolation prize in the provincial-level IOE Contest, a consolation prize in the provincial-level Vioedu Math Arena Contest, and a gold medal in the national-level HKIMO International Math Competition… Gia Bao's achievements are not due to luck, but are the result of hard work, perseverance, and strong determination.
Gia Bảo shared: “I always remember and diligently follow the five teachings of Uncle Ho. I listen attentively to my teachers, actively participate in class discussions, and proactively study at home using advanced materials and reputable educational websites recommended by my teachers. In particular, I don't get discouraged by difficult or advanced exercises; instead, I see them as opportunities to hone my thinking skills and perseverance.”
If Viet Tu and Gia Bao are like brilliant rays of sunshine, then Ngo Xuan Tung, a student in class 8A6 at Yen Lac Secondary School, is a blazing fire of passion and aspiration. Since elementary school, Tung has conquered intellectual competitions at all levels, most notably winning a silver medal in the national Violympic Math - Vietnamese competition for 5th graders. Thanks to his solid knowledge base, Tung became the runner-up in the entrance exam for 6th grade in the 2022-2023 school year at the key secondary school in Yen Lac district.
In his first year of junior high school, he won two national gold medals in the Violympic Math - English and Math - Vietnamese competitions, and a third prize in the district-level Math competition for gifted students. In 7th grade, Tung continued to prove himself with four gold medals in the national Violympic competition, including a category for 8th graders; one gold medal in the provincial VioEdu competition; and a second prize in the district-level Math competition for gifted students.
My eighth grade year was even more brilliant when I won first prize at the district level and third prize at the provincial level in the advanced-level Informatics competition for 9th graders; second prize in the individual category and was a key factor in leading the Yen Lac Secondary School team to win first prize in the team category at the 2024 Provincial Young Informatics Competition.
Not only is Tung an "academic star," but he is also an active and responsible student. As captain, he led his class's volleyball team to win the championship in the 8th grade. The image of this tall, slender, agile, and resilient student on the court, always fostering teamwork, has left many fond memories in the hearts of his teachers and friends.
Ms. Duong Thi Duc Ai, Deputy Principal of Yen Lac Secondary School, said: “Ngo Xuan Tung is an all-around excellent student with passion, responsibility, willpower, and ideals in life. He is a typical role model of the young generation of Ho Chi Minh, always striving to excel in 'Studying well' as taught by President Ho Chi Minh.”
Nguyen Trong Viet Tu, Tran Gia Bao, Ngo Xuan Tung, and many other outstanding students in the province share a common trait: a spirit of overcoming difficulties, a passion for learning, creativity, and compassion. They are a true and beautiful representation of the young generation of Ho Chi Minh, growing up day by day in the light of knowledge, love, care, and the expectations of their families, schools, and society. They themselves strive to study and train to develop comprehensively in morality, intellect, physical fitness, and aesthetics, thereby contributing to building a stronger, more prosperous, and civilized homeland and country.
