28 more OCOP products have been evaluated and classified.

The Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 125 dated January 14th approving the results of evaluation, scoring, ranking, and certification of products participating in the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program of Dong Nai province, phase 2-2025.

According to the decision, 28 products from companies, cooperatives, and business households were evaluated and ranked in this round. Among them, 3 products – dried mango with chili and salt, dried mango, and crispy dried mango – from Thuan Huong Trading and Production Co., Ltd. (Thong Nhat commune, Dong Nai province) were ranked 4 stars. The remaining products were ranked 3 stars, including: dehydrated honey (impurities removed using a hydrolysis machine), Phu Hoi tea, refined bird's nest, roasted civet coffee, fermented kumquat juice, organic Buddha's hand bananas, Long Thanh pure milk cakes, and wild greens... These products come from businesses in communes and wards such as Nhon Trach, Thanh Son, Phuoc Binh, Tho Son, Gia Kiem, etc.

Rational exploitation of advantages and creation of development momentum.While lacking flat fields suitable for rice cultivation, Hop Ly commune compensates with vast hilly areas, extensive planted forests, and natural conditions conducive to raising various specialty livestock. Therefore, the commune is gradually developing economic models that are well-suited to its natural environment and market demands. These range from raising goats, deer for antlers, and French pigeons to developing forest-based economic activities and processing forest products. These new production approaches are creating jobs, increasing income, and boosting economic value compared to traditional production models.

The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Department of Agriculture and Environment (the Standing Agency of the Provincial OCOP Program) the responsibility of advising on the organization of the announcement and awarding of prizes to products that have achieved OCOP certification; guiding the People's Committees of communes and wards, and production entities to implement the use and printing of OCOP labels and star ratings on the packaging of certified products according to regulations; conducting periodic inspections of products; and proposing handling of violations regarding product classification standards and other current legal regulations.

Relevant departments and agencies, according to their functions and responsibilities, are responsible for guiding and supporting the People's Committees of communes and wards, and OCOP product producers, in participating in trade promotion and connecting supply and demand to boost the consumption of OCOP products. They will also continue to support producers in standardizing their recognized OCOP products to upgrade them to higher star ratings.
