Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vietnam has recorded over 11.6 million COVID-19 cases, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories. In terms of the number of cases per million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories.

On June 1st, an additional 202 patients were declared recovered, bringing the total number of recovered cases to over 10.6 million. The number of patients currently receiving oxygen is 42, a decrease of 5 compared to May 31st; of these, only 6 are still on ventilators.
The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,206, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections. The number of deaths ranks 26th out of 231 territories; the number of deaths per million people ranks 141st out of 231 countries and territories.
On May 31st, 4,177 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered. This brings the total number of vaccine doses administered to over 266.4 million. Of these, over 223.7 million doses were given to people aged 18 and over; over 23.9 million doses to children aged 12-17; and over 18.7 million doses to children aged 5-11.
