950 more Covid-19 cases on June 1

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vietnam has had more than 11.6 million Covid-19 infections, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories. With the ratio of infections per million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories.

On June 1, 202 more patients were announced to have recovered, bringing the total number of cured cases to over 10.6 million. The number of patients on oxygen is 42, down 5 from May 31; of which only 6 are on ventilators.

The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,206, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections. The number of deaths ranks 26th out of 231 territories; the number of deaths per million people ranks 141st out of 231 countries and territories.

On May 31, 4,177 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were injected. Thus, the total number of vaccine doses injected was over 266.4 million doses. Of which, the number of doses injected for people aged 18 and over was over 223.7 million doses; the number of doses injected for children aged 12-17 was over 23.9 million doses; the number of doses injected for children aged 5-11 was over 18.7 million doses.
