Director Vu Khac Tuan's "The Most Beautiful Summer" has stopped selling tickets after nearly a month in theaters. The poor revenue has made the film continue the series of failures of Vietnamese films.

Director Vu Khac Tuan's film earned more than 4 billion VND after nearly a month in theaters, according to statistics from Box Office Vietnam (independent box office monitoring unit). Right from the opening days, the film's sales were gloomy, receiving 2.4 billion VND after 7 days of showing, inferior to many works from Hollywood, even worse than Vietnamese films released since April. Last weekend, the film only earned 17.4 million VND, with 339 tickets sold and 23 screenings, ranking second to last in the list of films showing in theaters.
