From the announcements of Associate Professor-Dr. Do Bang, on March 25.3.1988, 2, we, including Tran Viet Dien and Nguyen Quang Minh, visited Mr. Hong Hoai Le Van Hoang at his home at No. 95, Alley XNUMX Van Xuan, Hue City, to learn about Ba Vanh tomb. Thereby, many notable information has been revealed regarding the 'female flower' of King Quang Trung.
In 2013, on the website of the Faculty of Tourism, Van Lang University, there was an article by Phan Quan titled Directions to find Emperor Quang Trung's tomb in Hue. Through this article, the author provides remarkable information: "Now, we suggest a new direction to find the tomb of Emperor Quang Trung as suggested by author Phan Duy Kha. This is a random story that we know related to the tomb of Emperor Quang Trung. I have a friend named T.D.S. Before 1975, he was a classmate at Hue University. He was forced into the army and became a captain serving at the 1st Division Command - Hue. Recently, I met him again and heard him tell a story related to the tomb of Emperor Quang Trung, very consistent with author Phan Duy Kha's argument.
The article clearly states that in April 4.1973, during a helicopter mission with 5 people:
Colonel, Commander of the 1st Regiment - 1st Infantry Division, the colonel's attaché, Captain T.D.S, pilot and a civilian. When approaching Hue, the helicopter landed on a hill behind Hon Chen Palace (Thua Thien-Hue). The colonel and the civilian walked down and into the forest behind this palace. The remaining people are still sitting on the helicopter. During the wait, the colonel's attaché said he had found the tomb of Emperor Quang Trung and that the colonel was currently visiting that tomb. The discovery of Emperor Quang Trung's tomb was thanks to the colonel's operations in this area and contact with the residents here. However, the colonel still wanted to keep it a secret for some reason. When the two people returned to the helicopter, they did not say anything and the helicopter flew back to the Command Headquarters in Gia Le. After 1975, the colonel disappeared and the story of Emperor Quang Trung's tomb also fell into oblivion.
The story of a group of former regime officers landing by helicopter on Ngoc Tran mountain in Hai Cat village (now in Huong Tho commune, Huong Tra town) to visit Quang Trung's grave was also told by Mr. Hong Hoai Le Van Hoang (a man who once worked under Mr. Pham Quynh, in King Bao Dai's royal office) once told. According to Mr. Le Van Hoang, in 1973, a Colonel Regiment Commander of the 1st Infantry Division invited him on a helicopter to visit Quang Trung's grave; He only recounted that a helicopter landed in the Thien An area and that he and the colonel went to visit Ba Vanh mausoleum.
Thus, the above mentioned civilian could be Mr. Hong Hoai Le Van Hoang. After visiting Ba Vanh mausoleum, it is possible that this group of 5 people continued to go to Hon Chen palace as Phan Quan wrote. The colonel on the helicopter, visiting Ba Vanh mausoleum with Mr. Hong Hoai Le Van Hoang, was Colonel Vo Toan, Commander of the 1st Infantry Regiment. Mr. Toan knew that monks Le Van Hoang and Phan Van Dat knew about Quang Trung's tomb, and while he was marching in the mountainous areas around Hue, he collected information about Quang Trung's tomb, provided by the people, because So he invited Mr. Le Van Hoang on a helicopter to help find out.
The king's "female flower" was carried to Ngoc Tran mountain?
When Mr. Hong Hoai told the story of the procession of "female flowers" from Mieu Doi, we asked where the procession was going but he remained silent, as if he "had to hide". Now the information provided by Phan Quan can know that the "commoner" (Mr. Le Van Hoang) not only took the colonel and his attaché to Ba Vanh mausoleum but also to Ngoc Tran mountain to worship King Quang's tomb. Trung, causing us to reconnect and hypothesize that perhaps this is the place where the "female flower" of King Quang Trung was buried after being carried from the Doi Temple in Thanh Thuy Chanh village. Because the original burial place of King Quang Trung's tomb cannot be at Ngoc Tran peak. Ngoc Tran Peak is on the north bank of the Perfume River, not "Vu Huong Giang Chi Nam" (in the south of the Perfume River) as the Nguyen Dynasty's official history recorded.
Moreover, at the "Ngoc Tran peak" there has long been Hon Chen temple, worshiping Ponagar (Jade Princess Dien Phi) as recorded in O Chau Can Luc. If there had been a Dan Duong mausoleum of King Quang Trung at Ngoc Tran peak, then King Dong Khanh would not have "actively" renovated this religious facility to "worship" the place where the old graves of his enemies were located!
Thus, in our opinion, the place mentioned above that the group of former regime officers visited is not the original burial tomb of King Quang Trung, but could be the place where the "female flower" of King Quang Trung was buried, after being carried away by the procession. The procession of the Tien Thien Thanh Church in 1944 that Mr. Le Van Hoang once told about.
