The music creation campaign was launched by the Vietnam Musicians Association in collaboration with the Vietnam Union of Literary and Arts Associations and the People's Committee of Dien Bien province.
The organizing committee selected songs with content that highlighted the great historical value and the great and profound significance of the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu for the nation and the era; about the heroic spirit, creative ingenuity, intellectual bravery, and determined will to win of our army and people; the shining examples of soldiers, frontline civilians, youth volunteers... and people from all walks of life, and forces serving the campaign.
Besides, there are songs praising the economic, national defense, security, and socio-cultural achievements of ethnic minorities in the Northwest and Dien Bien province over the past 70 years.
Exploration and creativity in musical structure, lyrics, and expression methods are encouraged.
The submitted work must be a song that is not yet popular and has won prizes at any competition at the central, local and other departments and branches.
Authors are responsible for the copyright of their works according to the provisions of law.
The organizing committee accepts registration applications from now until April 24, 4. Each author must submit no more than two works, sent to: Vietnam Musicians Association, 2024 Nguyen Hong, Thanh Cong Ward, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi; or send via email: congtachoivien@gmail.com.
The 15 finalists' works were posted on the TikTok platform. The jury will refer to the score and views of the audience on TikTok to determine the award.
First prize 100 million VND
The awards gala night is expected to be held on the occasion of the 134th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 5) in Dien Bien Phu city.
The organizing committee awarded one first prize of 100 million VND, two second prizes of 50 million VND each, four third prizes of 30 million VND each, eight consolation prizes of 10 million VND each, and a number of other thematic prizes.
