Sacred Flag-Raising Ceremony to Welcome the New Year 2026

(laichau.gov.vn) This morning (January 1, 2026), the flag-raising ceremony to welcome the New Year 2026 was held simultaneously and solemnly throughout Lai Chau province, creating a sacred and joyful atmosphere in the first days of the new year, arousing national pride and a spirit of emulation to successfully complete the political tasks of 2026.

The solemn flag-raising ceremony reflects pride, loyalty, and the unwavering determination to protect the sacred independence and sovereignty of the nation.

At the provincial level, the Flag-Raising Ceremony was held at the Provincial People's Square (Tan Phong Ward). Attending the ceremony were Comrade Sung A Ho - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, along with members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of departments, agencies, mass organizations, state-owned enterprises; and nearly 3,000 cadres, civil servants, employees, and workers from Party organizations, agencies, units, and enterprises; officers and soldiers of the armed forces; students; and people in Tan Phong Ward.

The flag-raising ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere, with the national flag flying high in the People's Square of Lai Chau province, and the national anthem resounding majestically, expressing the pride, patriotism, and sense of responsibility of every official, party member, soldier, and citizen of all ethnic groups in Lai Chau province towards the Fatherland.

Leaders, officers and soldiers of the armed forces, teachers, students, and a large number of people attended the ceremony.

This is not only a ceremony with profound political and cultural significance, but also an opportunity for officials, soldiers, and people of all ethnic groups in the province to reflect on the journey so far, and to strengthen their faith and determination to enter the new year with renewed vigor and motivation.

The New Year's flag-raising ceremony for 2026 was held simultaneously in 100% of communes and wards in Lai Chau province. The purpose of this ceremony was to create a vibrant atmosphere of emulation from the very first days of the year, encouraging and motivating cadres, soldiers, and people of all ethnic groups in the province to enhance their sense of responsibility, strengthen unity, unify their will and actions, and enthusiastically compete in learning, working, producing, and performing their duties, striving to successfully achieve the set goals and tasks.
