From August 8, the Nam Giang-Dak Taook Border Gate pair between Quang Nam and Sekong provinces (Laos) has been upgraded to an international border gate, promoting cross-border import and export of commercial goods, connecting Goods source from Laos and Thailand to seaports in the Central region.
According to the Management Board of Quang Nam Economic Zones and Industrial Parks, in the first 6 months of 2023, more than 8.700 vehicles cleared customs through the border gate with a total volume of goods up to 57.909 tons; Import-export turnover reached 48,45 million USD, an increase of 125% over the same period in 2022.
