Currently, Lao Cai is actively preparing the necessary conditions, developing new products, and promoting the effectiveness of traditional tourism products to attract tourists in the summer of 2025.

A street carnival featuring tens of thousands of roses will take place this summer.

Fansipan has always been an attractive destination for tourists . During the peak summer tourist season from April 25th to May 4th, the Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area will host the Fansipan Rose Festival 2025, "Brilliant Amidst the Clouds," with exciting activities such as: a street carnival parade featuring tens of thousands of roses decorating electric vehicles and horse-drawn carriages, along with 300 ethnic artisans throughout the town center of Sa Pa; taking photos amidst a space filled with thousands of colorful flowers; strolling through the "Sweet Market" where you can enjoy unique products inspired by roses such as ice cream, tea, and pastries; and being captivated by the sweet and emotional voices of famous singers at the "Dreamy Garden."

The Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area will host the Fansipan Rose Festival 2025.

Simultaneously, from April 27th to May 1st, a flag-raising ceremony commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification will take place at the summit of Fansipan. Alongside this, a series of activities will be held, including the "Horse Racing on the Clouds" competition from June 29th to July 7th; the Vesak Festival (Buddha's Birthday) from June 5th to August 29th (corresponding to May 10th to July 7th in the lunar calendar); and experiences of the blooming season of the rice flower and rhododendron...

Every year, every season, the tourist area innovates to attract tourists. With the peak summer tourist season and many attractive and diverse activities organized, the tourist area hopes to welcome a large number of domestic and international tourists to experience and explore ."

As the leading tourist destination in Lao Cai province, Sa Pa town is urgently completing the final preparations for its colorful Summer Festival, scheduled to open on April 29th. The highlight of the event series is the vibrant Street Festival. Notably, Sa Pa will also welcome an art troupe from its sister city in China for cultural exchange and performances, further enriching the festival's activities.

Alongside cultural activities, Sa Pa focuses on upgrading and renovating tourist attractions to provide wonderful experiences for visitors. Not only in the central area, but also in the communes and wards throughout the district, cultural and artistic programs reflecting the unique identity, customs, and traditions of the ethnic minorities are being prepared, promising exciting discoveries for tourists.

To ensure traffic order and safety and to provide convenience for tourists, Sa Pa town also proactively coordinates closely with the Traffic Police Department of Lao Cai Provincial Police and the police forces of communes and wards to develop traffic flow plans, organize parking, and minimize potential traffic congestion.

Traffic police will be deployed to ensure traffic flow is managed effectively.

In Bac Ha district, from early May to June, the 18th Bac Ha White Plateau Traditional Horse Racing Tournament will take place with the theme "Intoxicated by the Galloping Horses of the Plateau". This traditional horse racing event is one of the activities of the "Bac Ha White Plateau" Summer Festival 2025. Accordingly, starting on May 2nd, the preliminary round will be held at the district's central stadium with the participation of jockeys from Bac Ha district; jockeys from other districts and provinces who register to compete are not required to participate in the preliminary round. On May 3rd, a parade of horse teams will be held, along with a ceremony to pray for good luck for the participating teams and a horse dance parade on the plateau. On June 7th, the 18th Bac Ha White Plateau Traditional Horse Racing Tournament - 2025 will officially open at the district's central stadium.

An exciting and dramatic horse race will take place in Bac Ha.

Furthermore, at the Nghia Do community tourism destination (Bao Yen district), during the April 30th - May 1st holiday, the locality will organize the 3rd "Golden Colors by the Nam Luong River" Folk Culture Festival. The festival will feature many attractive sports, entertainment, and cultural experiences, promising to bring unforgettable impressions to visitors.

Nghia Do (Bao Yen) is also preparing activities to welcome tourists.

The province currently has over 1,500 accommodation establishments and nearly 2,500 service establishments. At this time, these establishments are focusing on improving service quality and preparing traditional cultural exchange activities so that tourists can have more experiences with the local people.

By the end of March 2025, Lao Cai had welcomed over 3 million visitors, reaching 30% of the annual plan. Recognizing summer tourism as the "golden time" to attract visitors to tourist areas and destinations, aiming to reach 10 million visitors in 2025, the tourism sector is aggressively implementing various solutions to connect and promote Lao Cai tourism to a wide range of domestic and international tourists; directing tourist areas, destinations, and localities to strengthen the organization of activities, events, and tourism products. At the same time, it is focusing on promotional activities and networking to attract investment, develop tourism, and attract visitors.
