Dear readers!

Báo Sài Gòn Giải phóngBáo Sài Gòn Giải phóng31/12/2025

In the joyful atmosphere of the early days of the new year 2026 - a year of special significance, creating momentum for the successful achievement of development goals in the new phase, the staff of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper respectfully sends our best wishes for the new year to our esteemed readers.

Dear readers, you are holding the first issue of Saigon Liberation Newspaper of the new year 2026, featuring significant improvements in both content and format. These innovations not only aim to enhance the quality of information but also demonstrate the newspaper's determination to keep pace with the times and meet the increasingly high demands of its readers.

Throughout its reform process, Saigon Liberation Newspaper has clearly defined its core mission as contributing to affirming the role of mainstream journalism, maintaining ideological stability, and creating and disseminating a "positive mainstream information flow"; promptly, clearly, and vividly conveying the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations to cadres, Party members, and all strata of the people. Through this, it contributes to consolidating social trust, creating consensus, and inspiring aspirations for development and a spirit of dedication throughout society.

Alongside its information and propaganda mission, the newspaper continues to promote its role in social monitoring and criticism, enhancing its investigative and predictive capabilities, increasing the conciseness and depth of information; proactively expanding forums, listening to and reflecting voices from real life. Diverse, constructive, and responsible opinions will serve as an important reference point, making a practical contribution to the process of formulating, adjusting, and perfecting policies, for the common good of the country and its people.

A key highlight of this round of improvements is the launch of the "Vitality of the Grassroots" column in the Saigon Giai Phong newspaper, both in print and online at https://www.sggp.org.vn/sucsongcoso/. This column vividly reflects the rhythm of life in 168 communes, wards, and special zones in Ho Chi Minh City – places where the Party's policies and resolutions are put into practice; where the spirit of innovation, creativity, responsibility, and consensus among the people is nurtured daily. Through this, the newspaper hopes to contribute to enriching the voice from the grassroots, spreading good models and effective practices, and further motivating the sustainable development of the city named after President Ho Chi Minh.

On the occasion of the New Year 2026, the Editorial Board of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper respectfully expresses its gratitude for the close attention and guidance of the leaders of the Central Government and Ho Chi Minh City; the support of central ministries, departments, and agencies, as well as localities nationwide; and the dedicated companionship of our team of collaborators throughout the past year.

In particular, we would like to express our gratitude to our readers near and far who have always trusted, supported, and provided frank feedback, giving us the motivation to continuously innovate and develop, worthy of being the voice of the Party Committee, government, and people of Ho Chi Minh City.

Wishing our esteemed readers and their families a New Year filled with health, happiness, prosperity, and success; and together with renewed faith, enthusiasm, and determination, we look forward to the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party!
