Students of the Vietnamese-German University in the lecture hall.
Today (June 25), the Vietnamese-German University announced the cutoff scores for early admission methods for its regular undergraduate programs in 2024.
Specifically, the early admission methods for which the school has announced cutoff scores include: the TestAS entrance exam, high school academic results, direct admission, and international high school certificates.
Accordingly, the admission score for the TestAS method in 2024 was 90/130 points (combined from the basic and specialized subject exams). The top scorers in the exam were Phung Vo Minh Hieu with 129.2 points in the economics subject group and Hoang Ngoc Huy with 125.6 points in the engineering subject group.
With the method of considering high school academic results, in 2024 the admission score will be calculated based on the average of 6 flexible subjects according to the field of study in economics and engineering.
The admission scores based on academic transcripts (excluding the high school graduation requirement) for specific majors are shown in the following table:
The school offers direct admission to candidates who have achieved excellent academic results in all three years of high school; candidates who have won awards in the provincial/city-level high school student competition or higher; and candidates with international high school certificates such as SAT, ACT, A-Level, WACE, and equivalent certificates.
In addition to meeting the admission score requirements, the Vietnamese-German University stipulates that candidates must satisfy the English language entry requirements equivalent to an academic IELTS score of 5.0 or a GPA of 7.5 or higher. This year, 79% of admitted candidates already possessed the required IELTS certificate.
