In this year's 10th grade entrance exam, Ha Anh took the entrance exam to Yen Lac High School and Vinh Phuc Specialized High School. As a result, she scored 9.50 points in Math; 8.75 points in Literature; 9.75 points in English and 8.88 points in specialized subjects. With that score, Ha Anh scored a total of 28 points (3 subjects: Literature, Math, English) and was the valedictorian of Yen Lac High School's 10th grade entrance exam. For Vinh Phuc Specialized High School, she scored a total of 54.64 points and was the valedictorian of the whole school, and at the same time, the valedictorian of the English specialized class.
Evaluating this year's specialized subject exam, Ha Anh commented that the exam questions were not too difficult, mostly familiar types of questions that she had practiced, but still had highly differentiated questions and followed the direction of educational innovation. She was particularly impressed with the essay topic about parents' expectations for their children - a practical topic that helped her express her honest and profound thoughts.
Ha Anh has prepared for the 10th grade entrance exam this year with a systematic, reasonable and self-disciplined study strategy. For Literature, Ha Anh consolidated her basic knowledge to maintain a stable score. For Math, she studied the theory thoroughly, practiced from basic to advanced, and combined mind maps to systematize her knowledge.
English is the subject that Ha Anh gives special priority to. She actively studies under the guidance of teacher Le Quang Vinh; self-studying through YouTube and IELTS test preparation websites with 3 review sessions/week, each session lasting 5-6 hours; listening to many international news reports, English songs, watching movies with English subtitles... to improve her vocabulary and grammar.
Ha Anh said: “To study well, I set goals for each stage of my studies and am determined to complete them; at the same time, I always keep a relaxed spirit and do not let myself be pressured. The most important factor that helps me achieve good results is self-discipline, perseverance and a true passion for studying.”
Ha Anh was born and raised in Dong Cuong (Yen Lac). Her father was a soldier and her mother was a medical station officer. Therefore, from a young age, she was trained to be self-aware and independent in studying and living. Her parents always accompanied her and became her spiritual support. Unable to hide her happiness and pride in her daughter, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, Ha Anh's mother, said: "She always knows how to arrange her schedule to study, rest, help her parents with housework, and look after her younger siblings. My husband and I are very excited about her achievements."
Ha Anh's success cannot be mentioned without mentioning the role of teachers at Yen Lac Secondary School. With the care, teaching and guidance of teachers, Ha Anh has constantly developed and shined. In particular, she is very passionate about learning English and has achieved many high achievements in excellent student competitions at district and provincial levels.
Notably, in the 2023-2024 school year, he won second prize in the district-level English competition for 8th graders and third prize in the provincial-level English competition for 9th graders; in the 2024-2025 school year, he won first prize in the provincial-level English competition for 9th graders and a silver medal in the national English Olympic competition for high school students...
As the teacher who directly teaches and trains Ha Anh in English, Mr. Le Quang Vinh has many compliments for his young student: “Ha Anh is a strong-willed, progressive, serious and humble student. She always actively helps her friends and contributes to group activities. She is an example for many other students to follow.”
