With a total exam score of 54.64, Nguyen Ha Anh, a former student of Yen Lac Secondary School, has excellently become the "double" valedictorian of the entrance exam to grade 10 at Vinh Phuc Specialized High School (valedictorian of the entire school and valedictorian of the specialized English class), and the top-scoring student in the entrance exam at Yen Lac High School.

In this year's high school entrance exam, Ha Anh applied to Yen Lac High School and Vinh Phuc Specialized High School. She achieved 9.50 points in Mathematics, 8.75 points in Literature, 9.75 points in English, and 8.88 points in her specialized subject. With these scores, Ha Anh totaled 28 points (Literature, Mathematics, and English) and became the top-scoring student in the entrance exam for Yen Lac High School. For Vinh Phuc Specialized High School, she achieved a total of 54.64 points, becoming the top-scoring student in the entire school and also the top-scoring student in the specialized English class.

Evaluating this year's specialized subject exam, Ha Anh commented that the exams for all subjects were not too difficult, mostly consisting of familiar question types she had practiced, but there were still some highly differentiating questions that aligned with the new educational direction. She was particularly impressed with the essay topic on parents' expectations for their children – a practical topic that allowed her to express her honest and insightful thoughts.

Ha Anh prepared for this year's high school entrance exam with a systematic, logical, and self-disciplined study strategy. For Literature, Ha Anh consolidated her basic knowledge to maintain a stable score. For Mathematics, she studied the theory thoroughly, practiced with exam questions from basic to advanced levels, and used mind maps to systematize her knowledge.

English is a subject that Ha Anh prioritizes in her specialized exam. She proactively studies under the guidance of teacher Le Quang Vinh; self-studys via YouTube and IELTS preparation websites with 3 study sessions per week, each lasting 5-6 hours; listens to many international news broadcasts, English songs, and watches movies with English subtitles… to improve her vocabulary and grammar.

Ha Anh said: “To study well, I set goals for each stage of my studies and am determined to achieve them; at the same time, I always maintain a relaxed attitude and don't let myself get stressed. The most important factors that help me achieve high results are self-discipline, perseverance, and a genuine passion for learning.”

Ha Anh was born and raised in Dong Cuong (Yen Lac). Her father is a soldier, and her mother is a health station officer. Therefore, from a young age, she has been instilled with a sense of self-discipline and independence in her studies and life. Her parents have always been supportive and a source of emotional strength for Ha Anh. Unable to hide her happiness and pride in her daughter, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, Ha Anh's mother, said: "She always knows how to manage her time to study, rest, help her parents with housework, and look after her younger siblings. My husband and I are very pleased with her achievements."

Nguyen Ha Anh has consistently appeared at numerous ceremonies honoring and rewarding outstanding students at Yen Lac Secondary School.

Hà Anh's success cannot be mentioned without acknowledging the role of her teachers at Yên Lạc Secondary School. With the care, guidance, and support of her teachers, Hà Anh has continuously developed and excelled. In particular, she is very passionate about learning English and has achieved many high scores in district and provincial-level student competitions.

Notably, in the 2023-2024 school year, she won second prize in the 8th grade English competition at the district level and third prize in the 9th grade English competition at the provincial level; in the 2024-2025 school year, she won first prize in the 9th grade English competition at the provincial level and a Silver Medal in the National English Olympic competition for high school students…

As Ha Anh's English teacher, Mr. Le Quang Vinh had many words of praise for his young student: "Ha Anh is a determined, ambitious, serious, and humble student. She is always actively helping her friends and contributing to group activities. She is a role model for many other students to follow."

Nguyen Ha Anh's achievements are a combination of intelligence, effort, and a strong family and school foundation. Before entering Vinh Phuc Specialized High School, Ha Anh understood that this was where the most outstanding students in the province gathered, so she vowed to constantly strive to continue shining.
