Enthusiasm for youth union work
As both the Secretary of the Faculty's Youth Union and a lecturer in the Faculty of Tourism , Mr. Nguyen Thanh Quang has left a strong mark with many effective activities. He has proactively developed plans, mobilized resources, and directly organized many practical activities, creating an environment for skill development, connecting students with lecturers, alumni, and businesses, and linking professional skills with a sense of community service.

Notably, in 2025, he directly led and organized the "Welcome Freshmen K67" series of activities, attracting over 700 new students to participate in orientation, team building, interaction, and volunteer activities, helping students quickly integrate into the university environment. In addition, Mr. Quang organized many activities aimed at supporting students, such as: the "Tourism Journey 2025" experience program, organizing practical activities to connect professional knowledge with career skills for over 500 students; and organizing the "NTU Sports Festival 2025" to help students improve their health and physical fitness.
In particular, aiming for sustainable tourism development, Mr. Quang has devoted much effort to environmental protection movements. He organized the "New Life from Recycled Materials" creative competition, attracting more than 500 students from the faculty to create recycled products and spread a green lifestyle. Not stopping at the university level, he also directly served as a consultant, coordinating with a non- governmental organization to implement the "Green Sunday - Joining Hands for a Green Sea" campaign, attracting hundreds of youth union members and contributing to the strong dissemination of the message of protecting the marine environment. In addition, he always actively participates in community activities and projects, notably managing and developing the " Khanh Hoa People Speak English" program at the Faculty of Tourism, striving to create an environment for practicing foreign languages and enhancing the integration capacity of the faculty's students...
With outstanding achievements in teaching and in youth movements, Nguyen Thanh Quang has received numerous awards from the Provincial Youth Union, Nha Trang University, and the university's Youth Union. Recently, he was one of two outstanding young people in the province to be honored with the Ly Tu Trong Award in 2026 by the Central Youth Union.
Actively engage in scientific research.
Alongside his work with the Youth Union, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Quang has always proactively improved his professional capacity, successfully fulfilling his teaching and research duties and expanding academic cooperation, contributing to improving the quality of training and research at his unit and serving the sustainable development of tourism in the locality. In the field of scientific research, Mr. Quang is the author of many articles and reports at prestigious international conferences, focusing on addressing issues of concern to the tourism industry. In 2025, he made his mark with two recognized university-level innovative solutions: a solution to develop accommodation services suitable for the consumption behavior of Gen Z tourists to promote sustainable beach tourism in Nha Trang; and a solution to enhance the participation of local communities in the development of community tourism in the mountainous districts of Khanh Hoa province (co-author).
Mr. Quang also directly supervises scientific research projects, helping students connect theory with practice, improve the quality of their studies, and orient their research in the field of tourism with many topics such as: "Research on factors affecting the intention to travel alone among young tourists in Nha Trang", "Research on factors affecting the intention to return to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa of tourists"...
