'Practical application' of literary argumentation

Topic number 10 in Literature, part of the "Secrets to Achieving High Scores in the 2024 High School Graduation Exam" program, is "Practical Literary Argumentation," guided by teacher Do Duc Anh from Bui Thi Xuan High School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).

According to teacher Duc Anh, "The Boat Far Away" is a work that frequently appears in the high school graduation exam. Although this short story was in the graduation exam last year, students should not be careless or overconfident.

In this session, Mr. Duc Anh meticulously analyzes the fisherwoman – the main character of the story. He guides participants on how to identify key points in the exam passage, how to write each paragraph specifically, and how to insert argumentative sentences that will impress the examiner.

The "practical" exam questions here closely follow the format of the Ministry of Education and Training's exam questions and aim to develop the skill of writing literary essays that are "exceptionally good, like those of top-scoring students."

From May 13th to June 15th, at fixed times (4:30 PM, 6:30 PM, and 8:30 PM) from Monday to Saturday each week, on the following platforms: website thanhnien.vn , Facebook fanpage, and YouTube channel, Thanh Nien Newspaper will broadcast 88 specialized topics for high school graduation exam preparation.

The review sessions are conducted by experienced teachers from Le Hong Phong High School (District 5), Tran Dai Nghia High School (District 1), Bui Thi Xuan High School (District 1), Le Quy Don High School (District 3), Nguyen Hien High School (District 11), etc. Through each online high school graduation exam review session, teachers will help students save time, take advantage of technology to make learning more engaging, and accumulate knowledge for the upcoming high school graduation exam.

Students can access Thanh Nien Newspaper's platforms or scan the QR code from the broadcast schedule to watch the program live at the scheduled time or review all previously broadcast topics.

The "Secrets to Achieving High Scores in the 2024 High School Graduation Exam" program will broadcast 88 clips in the form of review topics aligned with the high school graduation exam. In each of these 88 review topics, the subject teacher will present questions in the format of the high school graduation exam. This helps students review their knowledge, familiarize themselves with the question-solving methods, and hone their skills in finding multiple-choice answers quickly and accurately.
